This is a poor rationalization for the poison that is coming out of this fanbase. That's what it is, poison, this fanbase is poisonous right now. Maybe there has been a surge in 12 year olds who ought not to be posting in online forums, or maybe it's just grown adults who should know better. Either way, it's not feedback, it's not constructive criticism, it's not our God-given right as fans to slam everything she does and demand more.

I sincerely hope she no longer reads the poison posted in places like this, I can only imagine the devastation she feels if she does. The fans she said she'd die for? Merely a memory. These entitled whiney little b!tches? I don't know them.

I think the self-destructive nature of this fanbase is what will cause her to stop altogether, for the sake of her mental health. A person can only be pushed so far, and we (the fanbase) have already given her more than a million reasons to quit the show.

And by the way, telling someone to get their sh!t together and do a better job is what's supposed to happen in the workplace, or else we'd never get anywhere for all the slackers dragging us down. Sh!tting all over someone's art however is just plain evil.

Calling it "art" is a cop out.

What was artistic about this?

Alejandro was art. Bad Romance was art. Even judas. But this..? Lol. I actually like the video but let' not pretend it's anything more than what it is: a couple of leftover shots from various side projects strung together

The overwhelming negativity is honestly embarrassing. It is totally okay for this to not be your favorite video, it's okay to not like it at all. I'm not saying you have to love this video. It is completely fine to dislike it. But there is a very sad irony with all this drama stemming from Million Reasons especially - since the video pretty clearly is showing she has a "million reasons" to leave the public eye, but the fans are her only good reason to stay. And this is the response she gets? This criticism from the fandom is pretty clearly getting to her based on some recent videos. Gaga has always been a very sensitive artist.

I'm sure someone will argue that "well if this is meant to celebrate the fans then why is it so bad/half-assed etc.?". Our gift here isn't an outrageous visual, it's her. The WHOLE point of this album and this era is that she's opening herself up to us in the closest way possible. She put this video together thinking that we would be excited to finally be allowed these more intimate pieces, but I guess she overestimated our maturity.

Gaga owes us nothing, and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to see this new and more personal work. To everyone saying "Look at where she's been and look at what she's putting out now! This is nothing like her old epic videos". That's the point here - it IS different. Gaga changing her perspective does not erase the work and impact from previous eras, it's all there for you to watch and enjoy any time. All of the artist that is Lady Gaga is a narrative that moves forward, not backward. She is going to change and she will keep changing. Stop looking backwards, because Gaga isn't and neither should you.

Now that the Million Reasons m/v is out, how do you think Gaga feels after the feedback from the fans? Do you think she feels bad? upset? doesn't care? she understands the meltdowns? happy?

She could care less. She cares about her Check and nothing else. I'm honestly so disappointed in her. How could she do this to us? We were rooting for her to have a great comeback album. First, the PI MV was OK.. and then we get this bs for MR MV? It looks rushed, low budget, and stupid. It doesn't even make sense. SUV trucks? so unnecessary TBH. It starts in color and then goes into B&W? It was very choppy with the back and fourth scenes that were not even in order. The looks were terrible. I'm ****ing done. Its almost like she does **** like this on purpose. She could have shot a beautiful video at her house on the piano in one day. Its not difficult with all these amazing talented people that are available to her. I've been trying to make the worst seem better, believe me I have. I'm just done with her hyping us up so much and then not delivering. She's ****ing with us.

It can be about your life and great visual too you know

Hopefully you'll have this same mentality when she quits because she realizes that her fans (the reason why she stayed) are stared to turn their backs on her. Believe it or not she does actually read what her fans say. And I don't see how it's a bad visual?

I distinctly remember her saying that she felt like she wanted to quit music after the backlash from critics and the GP :oprah: Not saying it will happen but it is a possibility. If that hurt her inagine what could occur if Shen sees that one of the "reasons to stay" (fans) turn on her too

I think a lot of you are reading way too much on the video. Is not that deep. She's fine and having fun, look at her Instagram. All is good. I'm sure she's not reading comments on the sites about the video.

She could put a little more effort into making the music video, that doesn't seem like much

Stop looking backwards, because Gaga isn't and neither should you.

But I don't think most of us are disappointed in the video because it lacks the outrageousness, grandness, and theatricality of previous videos (though im sure some fans are). The video just seems like a safe and shallow attempt at exposing her vulnerability. What did she really show us? She ran away to the desert, was on the ground and, subtly sad when her team dressed her up. The idea of it all was great but Gaga just revealed to us she has PTSD. There is a lot of suffering that she goes through and a lot of pain that goes on behind the scenes, alot more than what we were shown in the video. I wanted to get an accurate and real glimpse of all that and then see her team support her and watch her rise up. I wanted the see the extremes of the spectrum of her life and emotions. Im mean, the high after the low is represented by her singing in a studio with a white backdrop. I wanted her to run in a field with the wind at her back showing the world that she is back because her new team saved her. It felt so stifled. To me it didn't seem like we saw a deep enough raw cut of the pain she experiences in her life and enough contrast with the lows to the highs of her getting better. That's why im disappointed.

But maybe she isn't ready to show us all that. The video wasn't bad, it just could have been so much more interesting, engaging, and memorable. But, I honestly dont have a right to be upset with her for not meeting my expectations and for not creating a video that way better than the vision I had in my head.

Like you said, she doesn't owe us anything.

She reads what some LM say about it on Twitter, and they praise her because they want to be noticed or followed by her :ladyhaha:. So I guess she's happy and thinks we're happy with the video as well.

EDIT.

Some fans liked the video and I respect their opinion as well.
