Aren't we overreacting a bit? Fine, you might hate the video, but saying that she's lazy when she's performed MR several times all around the world after chronic pain symptoms is just nonsense. Plus, saying that her career is over, that she should retire, that she's a horrible person and artist or whatever is way over the top imho.
Fans love her new album, her performances have been great, one bad video isn't going to end her career and it isn't a sign of a complete loss of talent or drive.

No. they hate it. Go to twitter and Facebook. Hey are calling her mojo GONE

It's still early. It was released an hour ago. I'm mostly joking, because we rarely agree with the GP here.

This video wasn't that bad. I've been really harsh with Gaga recently and far too critical and I wish I could take back some of the mean things I have said. I know they hurt at the time I say them but I've been annoyed at Gaga for not caring enough about her career and the fans. But it's like this video puts it all into perspective from Gaga's point of view and shows you why she can't be what we want all of the time. We all know and love Gaga as a superstar but she's also a real person with real emotions and she breaks as easily as anyone else. I wanted to reach into the screen and hug her.

So she doesn't like to sing and dance and we're supposed to feel bad for her about that now?

:saladga:

The whole point of the song and the video is to show us that we are that one reason that she has to stay. You can evidently tell that by her facial expressions, she's not into doing all this busy work, her real passion for music and the reason for her to stay in this industry is because of us, and the fact that she has stuff to say.

It's creative and emotional in the sense that that is the story that it is telling.

Ohh :/ it's probably my least favourite video she's ever done. I get the idea behind it but I was hoping for something really epic and cinematic. The scenes in the pink suit and hat with the guitar are beautiful - I love the simplicity and the pop of colour.

Never mind, there's hopefully videos for A-Yo and Dancin' In Circles in the future to look forward to.

she had a million reasons to finally release the long awaited mr video but she had one good one to release her commercial behind the scenes and name it a music video instead

I don't think I've ever been disappointed with a Gaga video in her whole career, but I'm sorry this is the worst and laziest video I've ever watched, and having watched her entire videography before it didn't help at all. I just can't believe that after all the STUNNING performances of this beautiful song we ended up getting this behind the scenes fiasco. I feel so sad right now...

Can someone also point me as to where this was emotional or personal? it was her playing guitar in front of a white screen and crying while looking at herself in the mirror... it doesn't feel personal at all, it feels forced.

I'm risking being called a flop fan but I agree with you.

It's not that I don't like the video. I've seen it only 2 times so I need a few more watches. I think it's ok and I adore the song. But I've been here since Paparazzi, I've been though Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro, Poker Face. Don't accuse me that I fell in love with that Gaga and now I can't find her here.

I am still here for her, I haven't even though about leaving and it's not like there isn't anyone else to stan for. But there was no transition to this era. We were just dropped in Joanne.

She prepared everyone to this era. Whole 2016 was stripped year for her.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Here's my tea y'all...

I watched the video and, yeah.... I don't see myself rewatching, let's just say that..

Anyways, I'm making this because everywhere I turn, as soon as someone whispers criticism about the video, Little Defenders are screaming

"its personal its meant to be laid back and simple!!"

"Did you expect telephone all over again???"

The answer is no. I did not. I was 10000% here for a stunning, simple video, if it was correctly executed.

The video had the potential for a stunning storyline. But there was nothing. Gaga got picked up from the desert and she went to sing on the Apple Music commercial set, and also there was some BTS scenes of her getting ready. That was it. Nothing more or less. Not visually stunning (except for the B&W shots and that little note from Natali ), not massively personal.

In an era where we have been served with stunning fashion, amazing visuals for the performances and godly magazine shoots, why did she feel the need to reuse the A-YO commercial set for 95% of the video? :saladga:

Gaga sitting at the piano in a field of stunning aesthetics would have made more sense than miming the guitar on the Apple Music set.

And for a video which took 2 months to reach us it feels even more rushed together than PI did. :/

This is the first time I've been let down by a Gaga video, y'all. Yes, even Perfect Illusion left me at least momentarily shook :/

And to those who love it, I'm glad :sara: I'm glad you're loving it. But just keep in mind that those like me who are insanely underwhelmed by the whole rushed and tacky feel to it, does not mean we hate Gaga or expected some inticrate production.

Of course I still adore the song and am praying for its success
