Some of her music is similar to Madonna's and they have the same "provocative" attitude. I can't think of similarities with MJ right now, except for the taste of performance, music videos. David Bowie for the fashion, style, universe, themes, not exactly the same type of music but there are some things in common. For Bruce Springsteen I see the rock vibes but I don't know for the rest. I'm going to say Elton John because I see similarities in every field, music, art, fashion, performance, love for piano... Man I feel old haha. My grandma always had Janis's songs playing whenever I went over there lol. People just wrote Janis off as "the weird hippy chick" because that was easier than trying to understand her. Like gaga, Janis didn't fit the "traditional" image of a female at the time. Like Gaga, Janis always had an element of quirk to her. That's just who Janis was. Like Gaga, Janis always promoted love and kindness regardless of a person's skin color or appearance. Janis, like Gaga, proved that you could be different and still make it. If Janis were still alive, I have a feeling that she and gaga would be very close I love you monsters.
