The radio is avoiding Million Reasons

I am so pissed off. Spotify didn't mention lady gaga in end chart. But they had put rise (kp) on the playlist. PI has more streams than RISE. I was checking every single dance-pop spotify related playlist and they had put 2/3 songs of her. It's ridiculous!

Stream Kylie-Janet Discographies!

No song on Joanne sounds like what's popular at the moment - no song off the album is going to perform well as a single.

They lost their confidence with PI. Simply put. They gave her a chance.

Too bad, because MR has a huge potential.

People just don't want to listen to it. It's boring imo

Radio hosts don't want people to change the station :laughga:

(I still Stan Joanne)

I guess "bow down to pray" and "lord show me the way" are a thing of the past (I love Million Reasons so much, I'm just saying). I wanted A-Yo as the 2nd single because I thought it would smash on the radio... but I don't know what to think anymore... I believe that after three years missing from pop Gaga is in her 'Just Dance' days again with the hope of becoming more popular again (though this time she seems she doesn't want to)...

No your correct. A-yo would have smashed on radio allll my friends love it. I don't know why her label jumps to switch singles to a song that's higher on iTunes constantly.

Really ****ed up this time

Okay, when I said "it's not getting any buzz" I meant barely anyone outside of us is talking about it

And radio airplay does not guarantee success. They played PI on the radio for a week and no one seemed to respond to it. If people liked it they would've surely kept playing it :lolga:

They barely played PI where I am, but besides the point, MR is definitely VERY GP friendly and the point is, despite its success, it's radio play is almost like they are utterly ignoring it. And I think it did get buzz because some people I know recognize the song from its performances on Tv and such.

slay 2nd lead single :poot:

Gagas love

She's just never gonna have good management until Bobby leaves. I'm sorry but you can have great management and still not be pushed to the limit or be ignored. Bobby misses out on too many moments. She needs someone who will expedite her music videos for example. Why hasn't it been released yet? Mark Ronson was said to have planned the album creation in a way that it made it fast to create. She needs the same as a manager. And her single choices I fear will never ****ing be good. Like forreal. Million reasons should have never been second single. Why In the world do they keep switching  the single at the last minute just because it does well for a day? I can't deal with the decision making behind the scenes lol it's ridiculous

Songs don't get far without a music video. I wish Gaga and her team would realize this by now. If PI came with a video right away it would've charted way better.

Am I really the only one who heard PI on the radio MORE than Applause? I heard Applause on more stations but I heard PI played more overall because one of my local stations loved the song and played it very often. It was nice to see them give Gaga a chance since they usually only play some of her older songs. I have never heard either song in public, though.

It makes me mad when I go to a bar or something and I hear tons of songs from 2011-2014 from literally every artist EXCEPT Gaga. Roar, Blurred Lines, I Need Your Love, Happy, Wake Me Up, Dark Horse, Starships, Tonight Tonight, Rolling in the Deep, Forget You, On the Floor, Party Rock Anthem... WHERE ARE APPLAUSE, BORN THIS WAY, AND THE EDGE OF GLORY IN YOUR PLAYLISTS?! :saladga:

I wonder how much Gaga is going to continue to push MR through the Superbowl. Obviously radio isn't going to add it now with the holidays around the corner. It reminds me of how much Zara Larsson tried to push Lush Life in the US, literally the only country it didn't do well in. It didn't gain any traction at all until a year after she first released it, and she made a ton of alternate videos and live performances. Took forever for her to finally give it up and I still never heard it on the radio (I did hear it in public once), which is a shame because it was actually a really good song and radio is only just now starting to notice her.

It's really sad. If MR was by literally any other artist (except maybe Bey or Britney), it would be Top 10, overplayed on radio, and it'd get a billion YouTube views within a year. :crossed:

I think there's a few reasons, in my opinion anyway.

1. It's not that strong of a ballad. The chorus is strong but the verses are a little bit annoying. The constant repeating of "million reasons" becomes grating.

2. Although Gaga's ballads are nice, they're not what she's known for. Her biggest ballad so far has been Yoü and I and that only received moderate success. It's all in all a bit of a gamble because so far, the public has not eaten up Gaga's ballads. She's not got Adele's power where radio stations are sure the public will generally love it.

3. It hasn't garnered tonnes of attention yet. If it became a well known and strongly promoted song the radios will pick it up already knowing it's liked.

4. It's not that groundbreaking. It's a good song but it doesn't stand out.
