Why do people hate Beyonce and Lemonade?

Second, I guess all little monsters have to have the same music taste and if we dislike/hate something that's popular/praised, it must mean we are jealous.  Ok no that's wrong again. Majority of opinions on Beyonce have come from us checking out her work, music, and performances and evaluating it. I've listened  BEYONCE and Lemonade, liked 4 tracks off the former and 7 tracks off the latter and it's even less with her older albums; hence why I think she's overrated.

Lemonade is a really good album and the 1st Beyonce album I'd be willing to buy; but is it the best album of year? No. Does it deserve AOTY? No.

I'm with you. Lemonade is a great album, but Adele's success with 25 set records unlikely to be beaten for many years, if ever. If Adele and Beyoncé had sold about the same, I believe you could argue more towards the production value etc of Lemonade and give it the win. However,  I think the input of that artist, their talent, their songwriting and production input,  and also the commercial success should all be big factors for Album of the Year. Then again, I'm no expert on the categories and how they're defined/judged. We will see. I just find it silly to think that (possibly)  the largest debut week an album has ever had in history didn't win album of the year.

Does this need a thread? Because of it's success, her praise, and people think she's a threat towards Gaga. I come to realize maybe this means she's doing somewhat right the girl promotes, gives visual albums, and has been hungry since the 90s. Godyonce'.

She's Gaga's biggest competition in terms of talent, brand, success, performance and professionalism and fans especially can't stand that. Jeez the pair have collaborated and are good terms and people still find ways to nit-pick and compare.

Gaga is my all time favourite however I still love Bey and she is the only current girl who could give Gaga a run for her money. Disclaimer: I'm going to go all Marxist/Feminist on ya'll here so scroll if you hate this stuff... but sadly, people love to pit people against one another, especially women, which is only fuelled by the patriarchal control over society, which we're accustomed to.  Mass media, as an agent of the government and therefore ruling class ideology, manipulates the masses, using pop culture and catty comparisons of women to distract us from real issues: the mass exploitation and inequality issues of the Western world, which have manifested within capitalism.

Also, people still haven't somehow come to the grips with the notion that two successful women can co-exist and like another, without focusing on how one of the two women's success has overshadowed the other. This is toxic to me. How many male counterparts' do we see this happen to? None.

TBH Gaga should have a bigger team working on her music instead of trying to do everything herself. She hasn't even released her second video 4 months in, after an initial single flop and half assed video. Beyonce STARTS her eras WITH A MOVIE

Exactly. She had a bigger team helping her with TF, TFM & BTW and they were MUCH better eras than ARTPOP / Joanne.  I wish she would just realize this.

I wonder what she thinks when she watches Beyonce, Bruno, The Weeknd, etc... all of these artists have extreme success around her and producing huge amounts of content, and she's so far behind them when she used to lead the pack. Drives me crazy
