Pop Art 1,773
I decided to calculate the approximate amount of money GaGa has made in the US from all of the music she has released. I gathered the total amounts sold from US Album & Singles Sales thread. These numbers are changing constantly though, so they may not be completely accurate - take them as estimations at best. RamaVega 1
Interesting... Probably less than 20M of those 150M goes actually to Gaga :toofunny:
pbmike 0
Is that how much SHE made or how much Interscope made?
Pop Art 1,773
Born This Way debuted better, and had a higher chart position, but The Fame has had better longevity. Besides, The Fame was released almost four years ago, and so would naturally have sold more. Furthermore, the sales of the deluxe The Fame Monster were added to the sales of The Fame, thus inflating the sales figure of The Fame. Is that how much SHE made or how much Interscope made? It's simply how much money the American public has paid for her music. I suppose it technically goes straight to Interscope, who then gives a percentage to GaGa. Hot Space 14
Sad that all of this money is being spent on music when there are people in the world that don't even have clean water. :smh:

Gaga is Life 90
That is quite a lot of money. It's interesting how the Born This Way single's made the least out of all the album's singles, yet BTW had the most amount of singles.

Wisdomless1 281
Imagine what the numbers will be once the Born This Way Ball starts to finish up. I know that the sales on albums where she's played at has bumped up. The true strength of this album will start to show when her tour finishes and she's had so much promo from her concerts. Edit: In fact, I remember that she didn't first announce that the Fame had gone Diamond (10,000,000 sales) until she was on the Johnathan Ross show in March of 2010, which was already 4 months into her tour. Born This Way has already sold over 8,000,000 albums. Wait until August and she's playing shows with more than 20,000 at least three times a week for a couple dozen weeks. It'll catch up. Ty3009 232
iTunes gets a cut of everything so Interscope/GaGa aren't actually walking away with that much. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/the-new-economics-of-the-music-industry-20111025
