You can't use Beyoncé as an example. She's has am album dedicated to being cheated on. That was always speculation and she put it out there herself that that was the case. Everyone felt bad for her, attacked who they thought was "Becky" and attacked Jay Z yet Beyoncé stayed on a yacht collecting her coins WITH Jay Z, laughing at you all who ate it up.

Speaking from personal experience, I had a half-brother who died 3 years before my birth. His death led to my mother meeting my father. I love James, my half-brother, with all my being, and he inspires me every day.

So you can simmer down with that attitude, trying to make somebody's grieving seem insincere. I hope that one day you understand how immature this comment truly is.

Gaga being open about her struggles and what affects her makes me love her even more. I always hated the way people treat celebs like they can't have a bad day, any problems and anything of the sort. I can't relate to a robot-like person who never struggles with anything while i have so many flaws and that's why I always related to Gaga.

Part of the reason half of us are here is because we relate to her because many of us have gone through struggles with our sexuality/self esteem right? When she shows vulnability in her work it makes us feel like she truly understands our struggles

Well, ain't it weird then there's people who actually RUN this website that are involved in the discussion and are agreeing on multiple points I've made? Hmmmm. I get the sense you and a lot of others will "come" for anything that's "negative". We're just all supposed to sit here and not discuss her work. Comments get reduced to "slay mama", "kween" and a sassy gif or two. I'm also doing that from time to time but I like content. I like conversation. This was something I thought about and felt it could lead to an interesting discussion. Weird how mods on here can even find themselves in my explanation yet YOU can't and also don't see a reason why it should be here. It should be here because I'm feeling that way and so do a lot of other users, as you can read in this thread or by seeing the like count on my first post. So yes, it does have a need for it, otherwise why would it still be running for 5 days straight?

First of all, my username was never something else, so no. Also I'm not writing "crap" about Gaga. Crap would be "omg you guys, I totally am like, so, literally, like, over Gaga. She's a weak person for having feelings and crying byeeeeeeee." It wasn't like that at all. You may interpret it that way, but it wasn't written with that mindset, nor did it make that point at all.

You know what I find disgusting? That you would lift PART of a sentence out of a post that's like 4 pages in MS Word and make that the sole focus of your reply.

So let's speak from personal experience then... My sister passed away last year. What are you going to tell me now? Of course I'm also grieving, I know what that's like. Don't imply that sh*t. But if I were to be an artist like Gaga, I would want to source strength from that grief. For myself. For my fans. We always hear the same story from her these last few albums. "This record helped me to heal." And then mid-way album cycle we get indications that's not the case at all. The Instagram posts, the interviews, the crying... It's undeniable she is not in a good place right now yet Joanne was claimed by her to be this healing record. It clearly wasn't. And I'm not even attacking the music or her concept with this record, I'm just saying... In comparison to someone like Beyonce or Madonna... Gaga can't seem to shake off (don't make a Taylor Swift joke) her struggles. A poem by Joanne (Gaga's aunt) was published in the booklet of The Fame. THAT I found touching, THAT I found meaningful. I like the song. But naming the album that in retrospect now... I don't know. If the tragedy and grief was so impactful, I wonder why she'd say (in reference to her drug use) she used to pray to God to make her crazy and lead a lifestory like her heroes (aka a tragic life). If you already have a tragedy happening in your life, for someone with Gaga's emotional intelligence, you don't take amphetamines and hope things will be better after that. Gaga has a clear tragedy-wish. She's said it herself. It's in black and white. Those words came out of her mouth.

Joujun you make a lot of sense buddy. The thing is, a lot of the fans on here are diehard Gaga fanatics. This is in no way a criticism of them but it will always be a waste of time trying to get a sycophant to see a different point of view. It's just the nature of fandom and a lot of the kids on here don't have much else aside from their fandom going on in their lives for various reasons. I was the same once upon a time and I grew out of it like most people do. Back on topic, your thoughts are 100% on the money and you wouldn't be the first person to voice these opinions. I've even heard other Gaga fans say very similar things. I try to just enjoy the music and not think too much about all the other stuff.

I love Gaga and always will, but I need to say that I really miss the costumes, the big videos... It's missing in Pop Music. When Gaga, Britney, Madonna etc. released a Music Video it was always a huge event. It was the next thing.
