Gaga Goddess

I really miss it. I related most to Gaga when she was this creative, I still live for her now but this is the stuff that made me fall in love with her.

I think it's a combination of everything you said, leaning more towards to her old team, it was conformed of focused, talented people with a vision, everything looked polished without looking too fabricated.

What I don't like about her latest music and performances is that it comes off as unauthentic, it looks like a forced act, you can say she wants to show her vocal prowess but even her voice sounds forced, her facial expressions look exaggerated and she can't play guitar.

Also, I don't understand the "she's focusing on the music" excuse, she's not even performing as much as before and the music is not even that good, it's incredible simple, It sounds like it's lacking something, more instrumentation and improvised bits like breaking the structure of the plain and boring, verse, pre-chorus, chorus, verse, pre-chorus, chorus and bridge, perhaps?

And before someone comes for me, no, I don't want her to keep doing what she already did 7/5 years ago, no, i was expecting an evolution of that, and to me what she's doing now looks like a downgrade. The I Want Your Love cover and music video was a lot better and authentic in my opinion, she looked like herself but still new and refreshing.

I just think this era has been pretty disappointing in every aspect, so far, and i don't see it getting any better, it's cool that a lot of people like it though. Looking forward to her next project, maybe she makes something that appeals to me in the future.

:golfclap:  This, quite honestly, she has become a bit....boring.

I personally feel that she has gone from artist to just a singer (don't get me wrong. She's still one of the best).

I loved Gaga because she was the whole package. She's not showing that this era :(

HEARTSTOP

I think people in this site forget how Gaga's 'craziness' was being taken by most people. If someone tries to be 'shocking' 24/7, 365 days of the year, for almost 10 years, people will get desensitized and stop being shocked, therefore paying less attention to her or her messages.

We all saw how ARTPOP was taken by most people. If it was her first release, people would have gone crazy about it, even more than The Fame. But people already knew what to expect and didn't pay attention to any of her artistic performances/appearances.

Gaga is a master at the art of fame, and she has realized that she needs to take a step back before taking 2 steps forward. She is taking a pause from all the crazy costumes so she can come back with full force after this and make her avant-garde statements actually matter.

Same I miss her creativity...

I hope Joanne's promo and visual is just a break from this and she'll come back to something more visual next era...

Anyway I enjoy a lot the music of this era, fortunately because the rest is kinda empty to me...

I wouldn't really call tonight's set creative. It was beautiful but a recreation of a landscape isn't very creative to me. I posted the hair performance because of the message and the irony of singing about your hair while bald. Thats creative to me. The Bowie tribute is creative as well.

It's better than nothing. :giggle:

She hasn't "lost" any creativity, she's just trying to reach and connect to more people, who might not understand or try to reject things like extravagant outfits or message rich stage designs.

You could says she's dumbed down for them, after all she's is trying to be more relatable.

I am still happy though, because it looks as though she actually thought about her outfits and everything looks cohesive and beautiful, as opposed to her looking like she didn't give a **** at all (not that this has happened before- yet).

Songwriter, vocalist, piano/guitar player, actress, magazine editor, model, activist etc etc...

:giggle:

Gaga is not and never will be "just a singer".

I don't think Gaga has lost her admiration for absurdity or her creativity, I think that like she said in the Times Style interview, this album is showing her side as her fathers daughter rather than the "true rebel" her other albums represent. We're just seeing a different side of Gaga that's always been there.

you never know, the tour might be different, not in a way where its a complete extreme and opposite end of the spectrum from what she is doing now but I feel like her creativity this era will be in the tour. she always pulls it out the bag for them.
