ReidOne 12,427
So one of my all-time favorite moments by my pop queen Kylie Minogue is when she opens her 2002 Fever tour as a cyborg/fembot... it is truly iconic: I'm sure most of you have seen it before. If not from Kylie, then from Beyonce, when she took the same idea... What I have just realized is that Kylie did not originate this on the pop stage!! It was Michael Jackson on the 1996-97 HIStory tour!! ...and yes, before you all drag me and @ me, I do realize all of this originated from Metropolis. Phoenix 17,395
Yes, the whole intro with the spaceship and "landing" onto stage is so amazing. And the suit is so great. If I was Gaga I would have bought it. Or maybe she did. 💎

KyliesChild 16,907
@ReidOne my favorite is definetely the David LaChapelle but Applause was a close second (that video was full of artistic references).

Yes, the art references in the Applause video are off the chart. One of her finest moments.

It blows my mind that a film made in the ***1920's*** still represents the visuals, symbolism and ideas that we associate with "the future."

It's the themes in the film that blow my mind. Time, 'the new woman', industrialism. Definitely way ahead of its time. ...and it's also German which brings a whole new set of questions when you put it in context. Very clever film really. skaxboy 5,618
Oh man. I remember this Kylie tour. I used to have the DVD of it. That opening is fantastic. Michaels suit looks incredible too. I remember the Beyonce one getting made fun of on The Soup when it aired.
