Mary Jane Wayne 1,997
Don't get me wrong I've liked this album from the first listen. But today after giving it another listen from begging to end I suddenly absolutely fell in love with it. It's like the lyrics started speaking straight to my soul It might miss the "Gaga-ness" but it's still such a beautiful magical record. have you had a similar experience? did the excellence of Joanne hit you all of a sudden? DeanWinchester 41,390
Loved it on the first listen. I have no problems playing classic rock with Joanne sandwiched in between--that's how timeless and classic it sounds. Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. giskardsb 12,565
It's a great album. I hope the next one uses the musical concepts of John Wayne, PI, and Diamond Heart as the launching point for a more Rock oriented sound.
joannesrats 26
I just recently realized how beautiful the title track is. It's so pure and to her core, I love every second of it.
StrawberryBlond 14,870
I agree. I did like it on first listen but certain tracks grew on me even more. The title track didn't move me as much as expected the first time, but it really makes me watery eyed now, especially when I can relate it to my own experiences with loved ones dying, especially the bits about "every part of my aching heart needs you more than the angels do," and "I know exactly where you're going and baby you're just moving on." And the likes of Diamond Heart and A-Yo grew on me too. This is one of the few pop albums today that have a genuine heart in it. So many of them are weirdly disconnected, like anyone could have sung these songs or they're just made to make money, they don't even mean anything to the artist singing them. But Gaga's heart and soul is in this and it's what gives it the real magic that a lot of pop albums are missing.
