FATCAT 60,938
62% of Voters Say Election Has Made Them Feel Less Proud of America It's the land of the free and the home of the brave, but voters are not feeling so great about America on the eve of the presidential election. A majority of Americans - 62 percent - say they are less proud of America as a result of the 2016 presidential contest, while only seven percent say they are more proud of the country because of the race. The numbers are a grim reminder of the nation's mood despite the history that will be made regardless of the outcome on Tuesday night. Hillary Clinton would be the first female president of the United States, leading a global superpower that denied women the right to vote less than a century ago. And business magnate Donald Trump would be the truest outsider ever elected, serving as the first president in American history to have no previous political or military experience. But the history-making potential of both candidates has been overshadowed by the record-breaking unpopularity of the two nominees. Only 33 percent of voters view Trump positively, while 59 percent view him negatively. For Clinton, it's 38 percent positive and 53 percent negative. http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/62-voters-say-election-has-made-them-feel-less-proud-n678741 This kitten over here (meow)
FATCAT 60,938
When you have two shitty candidates, it only makes sense that people would feel proud. Clinton is everything people hate about the political establishment. Trump is everything people hate about the Billionaire class. It's a lose-lose either way. There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.
The Surrealist 27,470
I'm concerned about the 7% who are more proud.

Pretty accurate actually, people who hates trump hate billionaires who are only concerned about themselves, and people who hate Clinton hate politicians who dishonestly manipulate the system to gain power (corruption)

Guest
They chose those two candidates, so the blame is on them, they obviously don't know how to pick a president when they elected Bush twice and Obama twice and now Hillary is going to become president. Mistakes by mistakes.

Eighteen 5,430
i'm surprised the number isn't bigger considering what we can take away from all this in the end is that there is a serious struggle for normal everyday people to figure out what is true and what isn't. i've formally studied politics at university but if i hadn't i don't know that i would have drawn the same conclusions personally. DeleteMyAccount 11,881
Hillary really needs to get **** done within the first 6 months of her presidency. She can't afford to go 4 years with dismal approval ratings and whatnot. She has to stick with the issues she promised.

Morphine Prince 109,935
This country is such a mess. There's tons of positives about the US but everything is done backwards. Not proud honestly.
