I was referring to the prohibition of certain thoughts or ideologies, which has most certainly happened in Germany before. Essentially the point that I'm trying to convey is that when we decide to ban an idea, it sets a precedent that allows the state to dictate what people can and cannot talk about, and once that has happened, freedom of speech ceases to exist, which almost inevitably leads to a police state.

Everyone allowing those hate speeches is indirectly supporter of it.

There's a difference between denying science and denying what the entire modern history of Germany is based on, Holocaust is an extremely sensitive subject in Germany, so much that there really is no need for 'discussion' or 'free speech' on this: any other opinion about the Holocaust is by definition hate speech as it is the denial of the death of millions of jews and equals neo-nazism.

except for the fact that hate speech is not covered under freedom of speech as it directly endangers others. I even said in my first two comments that I don't believe hate speech such as threats or inciting violence should be allowed.

I've literally said in three different posts that it's stupid and I don't agree with it at all. What I am defending is an individual's right to believe and discuss whatever ideas they have.

Just because I don't agree with something doesn't mean I want it to be banned.

If unfavorable ideas, opinions, and conspiracies  (even though some of them are disgusting and I do not agree them in any way) are going to be considered violations in Germany....it may be that Facebook will have to withdraw its service from that country. It is impossible to control and monitor every comment, especially those that fall into the area of free speech or "disgusting opinions". It may be that they have to pull their service from Germany.

Ridiculous and horrifying, but not unexpected. If Germany wants to play thought police, Facebook should leave.
