But he did call himself a rockstar, no? If so, then yes, Mr. Crosby has the right to call him out and point him to men who actually deserve that distinction

Not really. To the younger generations, "rock star" is ubiquitous with "bad ass" or an energy drink.

But to someone like Crosby, who was at the height of his career when that phrase was created, it means what it means.
