I had no clue. Like everyone else, I though she was just speaking gibberish. :toofunny:

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

It's also "amor" (love in Spanish) backwards

But being the begining of the word romance makes more sense

Roma is also the name of many European Gypsies. Gypsy, Gypsy ya all

People here analyse every millimetre of Gaga's career yet missed this?

Maybe people need to just pay more attention to the music and actually listen >_>

I WAS SHOOK.

It felt like when your best friend tell you something from their past that you totally ignored.

Is that sarcasm about the "wiki page on Bad Romance"?

Its not hard to work out... looking at her previous songs and how they are structured with the whole p-p-p-pokerface papa-papa paparazzi... I mean it's probably the most common connection throughout her albums... Juda-juda-ahh-ahh...

Marry the night was also similar in this way, as was MANiCURE and I'm sure they aren't the only ones.

Oh, I was shook to baldness. I just thought it was gibberish too, until she explained it.

that is exactly why people back then thought it was gibberish.

It's not like we're alone in this. Critics missed the reference too

Is it really that surprising that "critics" don't understand a poignant song writing style of how Gaga writes music?

Tbh just shows you how intelligent these people are...

I think the moral of this story is that people just need to listen more.

Ro-Mah sounds nothing like Ro-man though.

But of course you knew that since you listen so well.
