I mean, I remember noticing that it starts the same as 'romance' but for some reason I never realised it was actually short for 'romance'. And the truth was right f.ucking there in front of my eyes It must be because I listened to it when I was younger and wasn't a fan yet, and it just went over my head, then by the time I was a fan it was just normal to me and didn't provoke thought. Now that I think about it again, it sounds like someone trying to speak about romance who is afraid to, almost stuttering. R-r-roma-roma... romance. Rah rah, roma roma, romance. Rah rah, ah ah ah, roma, roma-ma, Gaga, oh-la-la Maybe she was just riffing off the word romance and made a catchy chant that became her hook. I love knowing more about the songwriting process.
