AYO and PI are rising in Canada again after slowing down-- I think that will be the same case in US.

“Gaga is a superstar in every way. Her talents and spirit are magnetic! It’s unbelievable how inviting her and her entire team have been, and I feel so fortunate to get to be a small part of the music she has poured her heart and soul into.”

Lady Gaga also told Yahoo Music that even though she and Lindsey are two girls who are so different, “You’d think that maybe we’d never get along, that it would never work — but somehow we created these songs together.’”

Lindsey’s list of country songwriting credits includes Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” Taylor Swift’s “Fearless,” Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush,” Sara Evans’ “A Little Bit Stronger,” Carrie Underwood’s “Just a Dream” and “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” Martina McBride’s “This One’s For the Girls,” Lady Antebellum’s “American Honey,” Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” and what seems like about a million more.

Sounds like an endorsement to me.

What if MR is another Piece by Piece by Kelly Clarkson? it skyrocketed to #1 after Idol performance but wasn't a big hit in the end.

A-YO has aggressive vocals in the chorus which may turn some people off but overall it has this cool vibe which PI was lacking. PI is too serious and sounds like a Born This Way album track which was clearly too much for radio.

Piece By Piece ended up selling 650k copies in the US. Before her performance it was at 50k. Considering she was about to give birth at that time she wasn't able to perform it more.

Does track sales count towards album debut? Can someone explain me.

10 tracks sold = 1 album sold.

in that post you quoted, 0.9473 means it was selling 94% of what the #1 song was selling.
