Out of curiosity, have the Dive Bar Tour live streams had any material impact on the iTunes charts? They seem like streams that only fans would watch. I'm thirsty for more promo :hor:

Will this be her first album to practically be #1 on iTunes for a full straight week?

idk if it was straight but ARTPOP was #1 for 14 days

Def not 14 days straight since it fell to #2 within a few days from Eminem

They are pretty good quality and represent the songs well, and the views aren't bad, so they must have some impact. Not huge though.

I think the next one will have increased interest and views though because of Carpool Karaoke. Right now everyone talks about her vocals and they wanna see it live.

Too bad the mastering and mixing of the Dive Bar livestream is horrendous and makes her voice sound a lot worse than it is:deadbanana:

They fixed a lot of volume settings in the later Youtube uploads though.

I think her label agreed with Katy that unconditionally was the right choice... I also thought it'd be a hit and Dark Horse, while doing extremely good, seemed like just another future hit for Katy. They wanted the holidays sales.

When Unconditionally 'flopped', they knew that Unconditionally did have some momentum and that they could aim for a January-February peak for Dark Horse together with the Super Bowl. Perfect planning. I bet Unconditionally actually had a positive effect on album sales, as it used Roar's momentum to make a non-hit a hit for an album that only had two smashes anyways.

SuperBowl of Katy was in 2015. DH was a hit in 2014.
