DeanWinchester 41,390
I haven't listened to any of the leaks/snippets so please bear with this It's so fuuucking beautiful, raw, personal, emotional, spiritual and nostalgic at the same time! I feel like she really made songs that could become classics--a lot of songs sound like they could sit beside the 70's, 80's classic country-rock songs. Her voice is amazing and very powerful. Gaga was right and smart about this. She isn't going for hits. She's going for music that would not fade based on trends. Diamond Heart - very anthemic, for those nights you are with your friends and you're either on a road trip or around a campfire, when you feel like the night could last forever A-Yo - very upbeat and carefree, we all know about it. For smoking out the haters or just plain boosting your confidence. Happy country pop Joanne - solemn and somehow very nostalgic. I don't know Joanne, but this song makes me feel like I did. It's like you could use this for any family/relative that passed away. John Wayne - reminds me of her TFM sound with some late 80's-90's influence. This sounds the most pop of all the songs so far. A song played in the club when most are already getting fcked by alcohol. Dancin' in Circles - I love the Latin-eurobeat/reggaeton sound. A bit like Ace of Base and No Doubt/Gwen Stefani. Also reminds me a bit of Rebel Heart (I mean that in a good way, and I know she doesn't like the comparisons but yeah, please don't stone me). The chorus was a bit of a stepdown from the pre-chorus but works anyway Perfect Illusion - a high-octane, adrenaline shot of a banger. The background vocals still slay me. I love it, but why was this chosen as the single? It's completely not indicative of the album's sound, as Gaga herself said. Million Reasons - very emotional and spiritual. I thought this is the kind of song I would tire of easily but I seem to love it the more I listen Sinner's Prayer - like Wild West meets Gaga's religion and love themes. The background shouts remind me of RH's Hold Tight. I also get a bit of folk-vibe going on? I like its lyrics and concept but it's probably one of the weakest songs for me in terms of the tune itself. Still decent, though Come to Mama - Reminiscent of the Beatles' sound. It's amazing! The lyrics and content is great I like it a lot. "the only prisons that exist are those we put each other in" Hey Girl - Empowering. I know it says "girl" but I kinda get what Gaga means. I feel like this could apply to my close buddies and brothers, too. The start sounds a bit like an RnB song and the pulsating-climbing beats(?) give it a nice touch of some psychedelia. Contrary to most I've read about it, I actually like the blending of Gaga's and Florence's voices--there were points I couldn't tell who is singing. Angel Down - Hauntingly beautiful. Gaga's vocals and emotion are just the static effect at the end of the song gives me the feeling that I'm watching a documentary about the shooting incident Grigio Girls - also anthemic, but more emotional compared to Diamond Heart and it's a bit of a combination of Joanne and Hey Girl lyrically, musically it sounds a bit like Sinner's Prayer. the bridge of the other girls singing along with Gaga Another Day - the Brown Eyes/Speechless of Joanne. Simple and straightforward, it makes me picture a middle-aged adult couple in a comfy house in a small quaint town Faith restored FAITH RESTORED F A I T H R E S T O R E D Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

I will tell you, though, Sinner's Prayer at first had me like But now: Well those are my knee-jerk reactions following 2 listens of the entire album. I'm sure things will change in the long run but yes. It's still a solid song! Flyin' like a 1000 Doves
