Never said that it was trap. Is the same case with Beyonce. And when Gaga goes from album to album, you REALLY notice the difference. Even if its the same genre. With Beyonce not so much. If you haven't gone through the experiences she sings about, you can't relate. 2.And not everything Gaga does is wrapped in metaphors. People just need to grow better brains to understand it, is all. 3.Critics aren't doing their job right if they think a schizophrenic album is worse than a cohesive album just for the fact that's it's all a bit random. As long as it's good music, who cares if it's a mish mash of ideas? 4. And I completely disagree with the statement that if they switched albums, the results would be worse for both. The critics kiss the ground Beyonce walks on, as does the public. They are blinded by her "goddess" nature. *grabs a sick bag* Plus, as controversial as it is (and I know this gets to you), the fact she's a black artist totally helps. They're just respected so much more by critics. The only white girls outside the country genre that get consistently good reviews are Adele and Taylor (and she was once country, so go figure). Both of which are bland/average at best anyway. They follow the rule book, so the critics like them. Other than that, white girls just don't get amazing album reviews, particularly if they like to be a bit different and have a mind of their own. Critics hate that. Yeah, you'll occasionally get surprising critical reception from a Carly Rae Jepsen or a Melanie Martinez (who I regard as white) but other than that, you just don't see the artistry from white girls respected as much. Research their albums and you'll see. 5. I believe in fairly judging an artist's body of work with absolutely no bias, but clearly, a lot of critics don't think that way. That's why I have no desire to become a professional critic. They're just a bunch of sheep who follow each others opinions instead of having any of their own and have biases and agendas to push. And they're supposed to be music experts? I'm not going to pursue a degree in music just to become someone like that. 1.Literally look at the topics Beyonce speaks on. They are way more easy to relate to. 2. That's a little pretentious. 3. That's a little bias and extreme. 4. Her music backs it up. I love Joanne with all my heart but Production wise and Lyrically Lemonade is far more forward pushing it and different. Beyonce has had her downfall with 4 but she picked herself up so I don't understand why you all think she succeeds because she is Beyonce. And why is it that when a white person gets critical acclaim no one takes into consideration their race but when a black person does we blame it on their race as if we didn't have a glass ceiling we had to break through. Yea that **** gets to me because I don't like these pseudo intelligent racist comments. 5. This whole comment was bias within itself. Actually a lot of stuff you say is bias and, dare I say again, borderline pseudo intelligent racism and sexism. I love gaga more than any other living artist on this earth and I was not a huge fan of Beyonce at all. But Beyonce and Lemonade are among some of her greatest work and I will not let you minimize her success by using her color and popularity against her. It is possible to be popular and have critical acclaim.

Listen to her debut album then listen to Sasha Fierce, then listen to 4 ,then Beyonce and then Lemonade.Instead of just changing with every album, she actually evolves and becomes better and better. I give more credit to Gaga because she is a songwriter and actually works on her music. But if we judge the music itself Beyonce>>

Listen to The Fame and then listen to Joanne. And is even more impressive coming from Gaga since like you said, she works on lyrics, theme, and production. It all literary comes from her and her producers are there to help her finalize her ideas. Is sort of the other way with Beyonce.

Gaga DOES change a lot.She just doesn't do it that well :p I mean 90% of her fans think that her best albums are tfm/btw. ARTPOP was clearly a step down from those albums. And Joanne (imo) is slightly better than ARTPOP but it still not be as good as her early great albums. Gaga is generally a messy artist that isn't scared to try stuff. Some times they work some times they don't.. Beyonce is not like that.Beyonce is a perfectionist. She makes no mistakes in her music.
