No offense but when you defended Donald Trump and his supposed positive stance on LGBT people, you thought this would reflect positively on you as a person? This is why her fans are a mess right now, emailing the New York Times and obsessing over The Chainsmokers. She is setting a bad president. I think these days she's following her gut instincts regardless of how others might react, including the fans. Also, *precedent

It's not a 'clap back' she's literally just saying what the song was written about. The second tweet is a clap back and shady

The NYT isn't a music publication, and it's readers aren't interested in a muso writing a detailed dissection of an album track by track, they are there to give a review of an album in the context it's influences and impact on culture. To respond to a negative review by invoking the name of Trayvon Martin is beyond tacky. Who are you to say!! She has every fuking right to defend herself

SlaeUrAnus 15,976
I agree she shouldn't drag every negative review. HOWEVER, if you are uneducated and cannot even string together a good article without being bias, you deserve to be dragged. I am LOVING her lately! In my messy era. Quartz 12,535
Joanne is an EXTREMELY personal record for Gaga. She poured all her soul to it so any attack on it, espescially unfounded ones, WILL hurt. I love this Gaga. I can feel the fiery passion from her. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
RochestrMonstr 3,216
I love her!!! Gaga would be in the wrong if it were simply a negative review of Joanne. But it wasn't. It was an all around attack on Lady Gaga. Her haters have their minds already made-up, no matter what she does differently. I'm glad she responded to this one.
