hELXIG 43,090
I've never been hit this hard by music before in my life. When I decided to listen to the leaks tonight, I was not prepared for the emotion that I'd feel. But two songs on Joanne made me cry tonight. Like a little bitch. Angel down, and Joanne. The lyrics are so beautiful in both of these songs, and the way she sings them both. The messages are clear and they hurt. When listening to Angel Down I was thinking about all the chaos in the world at the moment. It's something that gets me down very often. And to hear her singing about it just really hit me. "shots were fired, on the street, by the church where we used to meet. Angel down. Angel down. why do people just stand around? ... I'm a believer, it's chaos, where are our leaders? Oh oh oh. I'd rather save, an angel down" And listening to Joanne, I went in to it expecting to hear a sad ballad, but it was so much more. There's an air to it that I can't describe, which just feels like the emotion was actually sealed into the song. Who hasn't experienced death before? It just hit me so hard listening to her voice singing those words. "Take my hand. Stay, Joanne. Heaven's not ready, for you. Every part, of my aching heart, needs you more, than the angels do ... girl, where do you think you're going? Where do you think you're going, going, girl?" Did anyone else get emotional while listening to Joanne? I've gotten teary eyed listening to Gaga before, but never this much. And I don't usually cry, my body doesn't seem to let me, but tears came tonight. Thank you, Gaga. Thank you for this beautiful album, that I didn't know I needed until tonight. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
gagasgrande 3,671
I got emotional while listening to Hey Girl. I was biking on a lonely winding road while playing it this morning with the moon up in the sky and the trees on the road next to me were covered with fog and it was just a beautiful setting. The lyrics "Held hands like we were 17 again" makes me imagine how I would feel if I'm older and looking back at my teenage years. That made me very, very emotional and I think it would be hard for me to look back at that.

I'm still tearing up just reading the lyrics. What is wrong with me? Obviously something I wasn't aware of until this music. I am just so grateful to her for delivering this emotion. I want everyone to hear this album. 1 minute ago, Poope MOnster said: Interesting I will wait til friday for best experience on my pre order deluxe edition I don't want to talk it up too much, but personally I was really touched by the album. Glitterngrease 482
Yeah I get a bit teary eyed just thinking about the melody. But I cry to music a lot lol. It tends to really hit me emotionally. I was actually sobbing listening to Angel Down. Didn't help that I was drunk.

Maybe I was just using humour to diffuse the awkwardness I felt (that I shouldn't fee tbh) about admitting my experience to everyone. Please don't get all social justice on me, I try very hard to be open minded and accepting of people 15 minutes ago, Glitterngrease said: Yeah I get a bit teary eyed just thinking about the melody. clefable 296
The song which hit me the most was Hey Girl. I started to cry during the end where gaga sings "hold my hair back", "held hands like we're seventeen again." These lyrics along with the melody gave me such an intense feeling of sadness and nostalgia for when i was also 17 (not that long ago i am 19 now). I was abused sexually at 17 and i never told anyone out of fear. Deep down all i wanted was a shoulder to cry on. During this part of the song the pain in gagas voice really resonated with me and I've cried every time I've listened to this song. You can really hear her longing for a friend or another soul to guide her through her troubles. i haven't felt this way about any peice of music ever. This song bought back so many memories i just cant really explain with words

I'm a bit older now, but I feel like I had more close, supportive friends back then than I do now. I hear the longing too... or do I feel it? This album is touching everyone's hearts and I couldn't be happier. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
