Little monsters. aka the fan base with the most beautiful souls. :usrs:

My absolute favorite is the Sinners Prayer..the studio version chorus takes me awayyyy.

2nd is Joanne!!!!! it reminds me of dixie chix/juno soundtrack vibes.

3rd is Come to Mama... :)

4th is Diamond Heart

5th is John Wayne...

my least favorite is... Dancin' In Circles... :excited2:..

but definitely the vibes with this new era...

all the music on the mainstream has no good meaning behind it really. its all just noise....no wonder she stripped down to make this 'analog/personal' album...shes genius... paws up forever :unicorn:tumblr_mgb1imniIt1rgimfto1_1280.gif

I basically like everything except Come to Mama and Hey Girl.

So hard to choose a favorite, but I'll just say John Wayne as of right now.

Feel the exact same way as you :nails:

Diamond Heart is the most sophisticatedly written on the album, whereby I mean it manages to capture the catchy aspects of pop while still maintaining distance from "radio glob." The immaculate precision of the word girlfriend with the drum is a song unto itself. Plus the song really does mirror qualities of her bests songs in that there are multiple hooks that catch you everywhere.

Joanne is possibly the most beautiful song she's ever written. It's classic, and the chorus is as striking as Scheisse. Possibly one of her best chorus melodies. I also like the fact that she sings the melodies in a child-like voice and then the chorus is a grown woman's voice (It reminds me of her singing the national anthem, where she sings at the start as though she's talking to a child before belting out everything).

I really like all the material on this album. And, sorry, but Dancin' in Circles is my least favorite (I still like it); but I don't have radio sensibilities; and I'm not going to adopt those sensibilities, otherwise I'd be listening to the chainsmokers right now and whatever this so called smooth tropical trend is right now that gamers from the suburbs are masturbating to. Edit: I really do like this song. I just don't want it on the radio. I know that sounds weird, but....enough already. And I'm not sold on Beck, never have been. His musical collages, his bells and whistles, I think, are merely distracting.

I really appreciate Hey Girl. C'mon everyone, she's practically Elton John's sister. Appreciate the appreciation she has for music history. I don't know.......maybe some of us just like to read.

John Wayne. Mary Jane Holland. Highway Unicorn. Perhaps Bloody Mary. I like it, and we all know why she wrote it: For us.

Angel Down. Beautiful..........OK, I have to stop. Quite honestly, this is an album album album album. This is an album lover's album. I almost want it to exist solely as an album. It works so well as an album. I'm trying to erase from my head the idea that Perfect Illusion was a single, because the nature of the song makes so much more sense within the context of the album, and it doesn't have the claustrophobic qualities that it does as a single. It almost become the opposite ironically. It's like a frenetic breath of fresh air in the middle of the album.

I still haven't listened to Sinner's Prayer yet. The title is redundant, and annoys me. Now had it been called "A Saint's Prayer," I would have been, like, hmmmmmmmmmmm, what's a saint's prayer?

Angel Down is so beautiful. I hope it becomes a single because it has so much potential. It's relatable to all the bad things happening right now and it's so touching. The indie fans will EAT it up!!! !111

Right now, Come to Mama is my favorite. I will never get tired of it. It's a refreshing and happy and kind song that everyone in your family should listen to.

It made me cry. If you just read the lyrics, it makes you feel so warm and loved and fully fed and content and safe.

Come to Mama

Tell me who hurt you?

There's gonna be no future

If we don't figure this out.

I've played Diamond Heart, Dancin In Circles, and Come to Mama the same amount of times today. John Wayne is a close 2nd.

You haven't listened to Sinner's Prayer because of the title? Gurl you're missing out, Sinner's is one of the best on the album.
