My "stage name" that I release music under is Loeppke, which is my great-grandmother's maiden name. I had a strong connection with her when she was alive, so I feel the same way about her as Gaga does of Joanne. :queenga:

probably my grandfather. and it would be funny to write songs about this person, it could be a nice experience to try to connnect with my family and people. But as i am, my family on mother side is very disconnected and distant. But he's jokes kinda brought it up neaty, thouhg i wouldnt like him one bit.

My great grandpa's name was Isaac and that's my name too. He died from drinking too much well before I was born:emma:

No-one left a particular big imprint on my family like that. My family is not spiritual at all, very practical. We care about each other but don't easily or often express it. Same goes for my grandparents when they were still alive. Hugs are very uncommon for example.

I do feel the death of my mother's father right before I was born had a big impact. We never talk about it but I feel my mom feels he was the only one who truly understood her. I would have loved to have known him. My family always says I'm a lot like him in many ways. I also feel he could've taught me many things. But I don't feel his presence or anything. Maybe I should talk about it with my mom sometime.

I'm not really spiritual or religious but I can relate to Gaga in the way that I believe that a person lives on because of the impression they made on other people in their lifetime. It's beautiful Joanne shared so many beautiful things in her short life, and so many tangible things which make it easier for Gaga to get to know who she was and learn from her, even when they never met.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

My Joanne is still alive and it's most definitely my grandma. If you've ever seen the "madea" movies, my grandma is Madea to a freakin T. She has a heart of gold and will bend over backwards for you but will slap the **** out of you if you misbehave. She used to watch my sisters and I after school and if we ever misbehaved, all she had to do was get the wooden spoon and give you the "look" and we would run for cover haha. My sisters and I went to catholic school and I remember coming home and telling my grandma "sister Josephine yelled at me" and my grandma would say "good you probably deserved it" hahaha. She's the glue that holds our family together and when she passes, idk what I'll do. That woman practically raised me and my sisters. Love that woman

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

My grandmother. She was killed when my dad and his siblings (13 of them) were teens in a terrorist attack and it's like this black cloud that's hung over our familly. My dad was especially close with her and I have her name as my middle name. He's made a point of teaching me everything she taught him so I've always felt close to her. When gaga explained how she grew up with her dad mourning and not knowing if she knew her real dad it really connected with how I've always felt. If you know someone who was traumatised by something and can't get past it and you didn't know them before the event you will always only know a shadow of their former self.

Gaga was really on to something with this album. She's right, it's SO common, for families to be scarred by events like this. But people don't tend to talk about it. I'm glad she's bringing people together like always

My uncle passed away on 9/11. He was my dads brother and his death totally changed the dynamic of our entire family. He was planning on having kids with his wife but it never happened.

when he died was the first time I ever saw my father cry. So when gaga sings "where do you think you're going" it makes me wish he didn't go into work that morning.

I'm so sorry *hugs*. I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I was in English class when the first plane hit. We heard an earth shattering boom that just shook the walls of our classroom. My classmates, teacher, and I physically watched the towers fall. I don't think I've ever cried so hard in my life. I'm so so sorry for your loss
