Gaga is a citizen and a voter. She has every right to express her thoughts and concerns on who will be the leader of the country.

If some Trump supporters decide that they won't listen to her music because of her views on Trump....Good Riddance!

That is, in my opinion, a very bad reason to stop one's own public views of a very awful man.

About 3 songs have country influence. That doesn't mean the whole record is country. Guitars don't equal being country.

Guys no one is shading gaga but Joanne clearly is country INFLUENCED, Ayo + Sinner's Prayer + Million Reason say hi

It's not a country record but it IS country influenced.

Colourful

She said she wanted country fans & US to bond over it. Im not reaching like you are to say she's supposed to become a conservative rn. I just think it's kinda not sensible to rant about trump like this, when she threw out The Fame Mons†er sound for this deplorable audience.

/CloseReply.

Plenty of country fans hate Donald trump..

If you ask me, she (and other celebrities/musicians who need to appeal to the GP) should just keep their political beliefs to themselves. Truly, honestly. No, there really shouldn't be a reason for them to suppress their beliefs, I completely understand why they would want to express their opinions. Don't get me wrong. But OP has a point tbh. It's not completely unreasonable. I've been a Gaga stan since 2009, I love Gaga to death. But if I was a new fan, the Clinton support wouldn't really attract me to her. So...

I'm not a fan of Hillary, but Trump is a misogynistic, xenophobic, bigoted, hotheaded, ignorant and wholly unqualified presidential candidate.

Not even to mention, that with all his bankruptcies, he clearly can't even manage his own finances, and thanks to the Obama administration the nation has finally bounced back from the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. The thought of Trump carrying the nuclear codes and being the commander-in-chief of the U.S. is, frankly, terrifying.

IMO, celebrities have an obligation to use their status for matters of utter global importance that will impact society for decades to come.

This shouldn't be a "Republican" vs "Democrat" issue, but rather a common sense one. And I applaud Gaga for doing the right thing despite the "fans" it may cost her.

I hate him, you hate him, about everyone I know think he's a joke, but that's not the case rn. Gaga went folk-country-whatever-it's-not-electronic-pop, for what? Idk. But one thing she's making clear in interviews, is that she wants the country fans, and pop fans to bond over this record?

The Gag is, a lot of country fans are Trump supporters… mostly. So, why is Gaga dragging their fave so much? (okay I know why but still) If I were a Trump supporter, I'd be pressed, and not wanna check out Joanne, honestly, truly.

So in the end, she tried for two years to make a country-ish-whatever the **** album for the country stans, & now she's pissing them off on Twitter. So in the end, switching to this genre could have been avoided, and we could have gotten the funk album most of us were expecting…

done tastefully her political point of views will have no bearing on the success in the current chain of events because political freedom is all part of what makes America famous

Trump made a bazillion dollars going bankrupt if there is anybody who understands how phoney these tax codes are its him. All his children are responsible wealthy individuals as well, Hillary is a thief (takes one to know one but some know when to quit once they find another productive source of legitimate income) and it has become apparent she doesn't bathe everyday either and the 1st rule as a leader is you gotta be able to keep your own affairs in order. Just remember, Christ eats anywhere he is human but if you wanna talk to the Heavenly Father, you got to set the table.

on a side note that is why Christ keeps his home in Rome as He romes...lol
