This lady is just wearing this religious object for fashion. Which of course, she's free to do. But don't make this into an agenda because it is really offensive 

For one, Gaga does not know the full purpose of hijab as she is not a Muslim women. There is a difference between a hijab and a burqa, burqas tend to to cover the whole face, not the hijab. Gaga got that wrong and she was in some trouble for that if I recall. Also, how am I making it into an agenda and what are you finding offensive about the hijab? That is not healthy

You don't have to be a muslim to know about the purpose of the hijab. And trust me, Gaga knows since she likes studying religion. Burqa's and hijabs have the same purpose, which is to please God (since he commanded them and it's a sin if they don't) and to preserve their beauty. Muslim women get rewarded more in the afterlife if they wear a burqa rather than hijab.

As a Muslim that dont believe in Hijab, I cant speak about this because most people dont believe I represent most muslims.. what I can say is it is meant to cover and be modest and so does men who have to do the same thing but in different ways. In todays generation though, many young women do wear it as a form of expression yes and I do agree with you as someone who lives in the Muslim world that its very rare to see a Muslim woman being forced to wear a hijab. Most families have girls with and without hijab.

Gaga did not get anything wrong, she used the Burqa as a symbol and metaphor for what she was trying to say in that song and she only got in trouble from white liberal progressives.

You mean its a sin to her if she doesnt wear a hijab because shes a Muslim? im a muslim and not wearing a hijab is not considered a sin. Wearing a hijab is viewed as something special and extremely important in the islamic world and they respect women that do wear it but not doing so is not looked at as committing a sin. Sins are very well documented in the Quran and not wearing a hijab is not one of them, even drinking wine is not a sin in islam.

Thank you for your insight. It is very much appreciated, I do get its religious purpose, but I guess I was under the assumption of today's generation and did not necessarily account that it is also widely used for religious reasons. Your comments were definitely needed in this discussion to dispel the confusion and ignorance and both my and others' part

Yeah, my grandfather still has a subscription , but they no longer publish nudes . They realised that internet p*rnography basically renders Playboy useless, so now they only publish pictures of pretty women and mostly articles now. They've really classed it up though, it used to be really gross, but now it looks really nice

Thank you It is not ignorance, it is just not knowing all the detail information about other cultures and that is not a bad thing as you were told.. you cant know everything about everyone in the world. You can even disagree with me and tell me im wrong.
