xoxo cupcakke 4,781
I feel like the hijab is a voluntary (voluntary for many Muslim women, some places it is involuntary) expression of their faith and/or identity, let them wear it if they want it to, just hopefully the hijab itself does not become a point of fetishization

You assume that the hijab is being meant to cover immodesty, when really the hijab is meant as a form of expression, not protection. Then again, I am not Muslim myself and I cannot be making these assumptions so someone, an actual practitioner of the faith and better yet one that is female and wears the hijab voluntarily, please correct me if I'm wrong
Bebe 17,289
I heard about this, It's great that they are showing such diversity. It's also a really interesting re-branding from Playboy. It seems Playboy is really trying to market itself as a competitor to Vanity Fair as opposed to more traditional competitors like GQ and Maxim. Playboy isn't a nudie magazine anymore though. The publication’s October issue is about “Renegades,” featuring eight women and men who “aren’t afraid to break the rules.” She will be fully clothed. Which of course, she's free to do. But don't make this into an agenda because it is really offensive
