You can add Janet Jackson "If" to the list... it's easily in the top 10 of nearly every die-hard Janet fans list, but on the Billboard charts, it peaked at #4 (when both the single prior and the single following peaked at #1 --- so definitely an under performer relative to it's time).

In some cases yes but it depends on many things. G.U.Y flopping was unfair. I still picture it as a lead single.

Girl Gone Wild is a bit cheesy but it deserved more too.

I dont think is her fan fav from what i read but .. I dont follow rebel heart that much

my fav from her was "Sorry" and if i recall it correctly it under perform

Well, I remember a thread in MInfinity where they were happy about the single release. Hold Thigh was also loved but it was only promo for Italy.

This is why chart positions don't mean quality.  I love Madge but GMAYL is embarassing.
