Like 2016 is the end of the 2006-2015 period defined by electronic sounds and the rise of social media, and that the next decade (the 2020s) is starting early. I think the next era will be all about exploring our ancestral roots. I feel like culturally: The 1980s were 1979-1992. The 1990s were 1993-2005. The 2000s was 2006-2013 The 2010s was 2014-2016 The 2020s will be 2017-2029. 2016 feels like the end of an era, and the beginning of something new.
