You have it backwards huny. PI is the one that sounds out of place

Do you mean Million Reasons should come before Perfect Illusion? If that's the case, I agree with you!

Oh no, Dope somehow manages to sit perfectly well for me  you have the rush of MJH, that slowly fades and gives place to Dope. And as Dope finishes, you have Gypsy that starts slow as well but turns into a happy place. In fact, MJH-Dope-Gypsy is for me the best line up she has in all her albums.

For me Dope is not part of the album, I even deleted it so I don't have to skip lol

It's just doesn't fit to the album..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

No i meant PI sounds completly out of place in the whole album. All the songs and priviews we've heard sound like they belong together. PI is probably the black sheep in the album

For fans you guys don't remember much. Gaga has said that each song is it's own story, like their isn't a album theme beside her being joanne

I really feel like the songs she played were extremely changed up and different from the studio versions.

I'm not talking about a theme or anything, just how the tracks together don't feel cohesive. Each track on an album can be completely different and the album can still flow well and be cohesive, through the track listing and transitions between songs.

I think it is ok. I also find Speechless' placement in TFM quite jarring. Like Monster was so Synthpop and here comes a rock ballad. But if MR is followed by the slayage that is SP, it's fine.

I think this album will have many different sounds, maybe that's why.

I dunno, an outro would maybe make me feel differently. Maybe an interlude between the tracks? I know she hasn't done that before, but it would give the tracks a bit of space and listeners some breathing room.

Yes, I actually thought Million Reasons would be like Hair when we first got the tracklisting and they called it "power ballad" because it was placed right after Perfect Illusion. I listened to PI first last night when I got the pre-order to see how it'd flow and it was kind of like Mary Jane Holland -> Dope.

Dope fits in a storytelling kind of way.
