@Reno

is there any other format? I don't like TS

because the file is huge and I have slow internet connection, and it takes too much hardisk space

mkv or mp4 720p/1080p is the best

Generally, file size doesn't really have anything to do with the format that it is in. Converting them to mkv or mp4 (without any loss in quality) will result in the same size file.

really? because usually MKV and MP4 file has smaller size

and TS always 2-3 times larger

I think they are more compresed, that's why size is smaler, but the problem is that somtimes they lag, that's why i prefer .ts, coz they atleast play nice on my crapy computer.

MKV, MP4, TS, AVI, MPG, etc. are all just containers for the video and audio streams, they don't really have any affect on the file size. What really affects the file size is the bitrate and partially the codec (the type of compression). I can take a 1GB TS file and change it into a MP4 or MKV, as long as I leave the bitrate the same, it will be the exact same size.

The reason TS files are generally larger, it is because it is most commonly used to store direct (usually uncompressed from the original) TV broadcasts and feeds. Those file sizes are usually huge since they have really high bitrates. MP4 and MKV are more commonly used for file sharing and online streaming so they tend to have lower bitrates. So the difference in file size is just because people use the containers for different purposes, not because the containers are inherently different in size.
