I mean there were people saying Sexxx Dreams was radio-friendly after the Swine Fest when it is clearly not (even Gaga said that she wanted SD to be the first single of AP) just to give an example. Unfortunately because I haven't heard the album myself, others' words are all I can really bring to the thread. Being skeptical of what they have to say is best. That doesn't mean the music will be bad -- there's a lot of hits out there that I think are total crap. On the contrary I think the album will get decent reviews. You can have a general consensus that share the same views that something is amazing or terrible, but you can never objectively conclude it. Plenty of people have said that PI is a great song, including critics- just as there are people who don't like it. The general consensus seem quite happy, and my point is you're claiming that it's a weak lead single as if it's a fact when it's a lot more subjective than that. But surely the label is putting SOME pressure on her to be somewhat commercially successful on the level of her peers, because she has been at the top, you would imagine they would have to both make sensible compromises for it to benefit both parties? I just can't imagine interscope being like 'k we will do whatever you like'? And just risking a lot on something so different I just feel like it's all a perfect illusion and some great singles and promo are coming.
