At the end of the day what's the point of doing this if you're gonna lose all the ppl who always were excited to hear you and see your art, an empty gallery is always a sad thing, sure there's your art, feelings and the passion u had making it, but if you dont make any effort to bring people and share what u did, what's the point then?

Most of indie/alt people are dying to be heard, to have a spotlight to share the passion she had on stage, that freedom, the rage, the creativity, the love, and it feels like she's just dead inside,with Joanne, just dropping what she did just for the sake of healling herself and let it be...  ironically she said she wanted to live the things her aunt couldn't but i dont see her even trying to share that message besides some random tweets & snapchats, and i saw those interviews about her trying to find a balance, the problem is like i said she went to the other extreme of doing apparently nothing, i really wasnt expecting a BTW type of promo, but certainly i also wasn't expecting this passive attitude towards PI, especially since she worked so hard the last 2 years to clean her image.

And certainly, if wouldnt liked PI i wouldn't care about all of this, i guess that's why im pressedT af, 'cuz i loved it and i was expecting something like this, and when it happened, she just snubbed the song and hadnt the same treatment as everything she has done, call it: C2C (her side jazz project), AHS, That magazine project where she made several covers, AP, etc...  

You're totally entitled to be letdown at the fact she isn't performing, it's totally understandable to feel that way. I feel similar, I would love to see Gaga perform on T.V and I would love to hear her perform live on radio.

I don't blame her at all for going about this era the way she has though. It's not even that uncommon. Beyonce hardly does interviews, same with Britney. Rihanna didn't really promote much for Anti. Katy performed Rise at the Democratic Convention but other than that not much. Madonna performed Living For Love a couple of times and did some interviews.

I'm sure we will see Gaga perform more at award shows and bigger platforms and she has practically been confirmed to perform at The Superbowl Halftime show. You can't really compare the release of PI as the same as an empty art show though, there are artists who will never reach the success Gaga has had with this single. She has found her audience already.

If I'm being honest with myself and how I really feel... I think since the exit of Lori Ann Gibson I've been feeling Gagas Lacking in creative direction and PERHAPS she's not as creative as I though and perhaps Gibbsion ran her creative. I vowed I would let LG5 determine if Gaga is a Creative artist in the sense of visuals but it would seem LG5 is not that type of album. Perhaps for that reason? Or perhaps not. Idk but I'm waiting for this to be proven.

 

Also ive been feeling like Lady Gaga is distant and doesn't really care for her hans for a while. This Era is not making me feel any different. I really feel like she might have turned on making music for her fans and just started making music for her self. Which is fine I guess but just be transparent about it. If you don't care for our support or don't love as much as use to just say it. I know people are going think this is dumb but its the way I truly feel

I'm scared that it really was Gibson responsible for her videos and costumes and ect... And I'm afraid I wont like Gaga as much if shes not a good visual artist on her own

1. Not Gibson, but I think Matthew Williams was a huge part of her fantastic imagery from 2008-2010. He was integral to the Haus and I think his absence was felt immediately in 2011, as she was all over the place with her imagery. However, Gaga is perfectly capable of stunning visuals, reminder she self directed these:

@Steve Nasty i agree with MTN, one of her best and one of my fave videos, in the other hand, G.U.Y. is probably my least fave video, so tragic tbh

I don't take things on a fan forum personally so don't worry.

Gibson left after You and I video if I remember correctly and its around that time I feel Lady gagas creative has gone down hill. Yes MTN might was great (Its actually my favorite Gaga sing and video) but perhaps they had already planned in? I just know since ARTPOP its been a mess all around in my view. I think the GUY video is especially a mess. Her ideas seem to be all over the place.

I said I think she can make music for herself. But before she seemed to make music for her fans and we where involved or a part of her proses. It felt like she loved us. Now I feel like she doesn't want to be around. No promo or anything. Its just so distant. Twitter doesn't do anything for me. I want to see her on TV talking about it not on radio where no one really goes anymore.

Yea feel like she took ARTPOP really personally which I would hope not because that would be unfortunate. People would eventually not like an album you put out. Its not reason to become distant. I see these little symbols of this...

No I feel you, I wanna see her on TV too. I personally think her and Bobby are trying a different promo approach for this album, where it's less concentrated and more spread out. I predict the album campaign will go on for a while, similar to Cheek to Cheek. Most of the TV promo for that album was around the album release day (not before hand), and then they still had occasional things lined up for the 5 months following (televised concert, Grammys, Oscars, etc.) and then of course the tour. I think it's less important for them to sell singles this time. Gaga wants to be taken seriously as an album artist. 

One of my friends just met Gaga in NY last night for the time. She stopped for this group of fans and talked to them about the video, the album, answered questions, took pictures, and even sang with them. When was the last time you saw Beyonce, Rihanna, or Britney do that for their fans? Gaga is one of the most caring, and most loving to her fans even to this day. It's pretty sad to see you doubt that. She has our symbol tattooed on her body for crying out loud.

Is it bad that I think Gaga might be really smart and fake and know she still needs her fans? Idk shes really messing with my emotions latly and making me not care about this era. If she wanted to be an album artist then why not just pull a Beyoncé and put put it out? Why pick a single? I think its a mistake not to put her on the late night and host circet and I just don't understand why. Or why not? This album seems more mature and I feel like older people would like it and she should be out there promoting it. I cant love something if I feel like you don't really care about it. How do I promote it if you don't? Ive met her a few times I know in person shes been lovely but I haven't seen her latey.

BTW I don't even rember 80% of the promo shes done in the last 2 years. The National Anthem and Oscars is all I recall. That's bad...

Wow I don't even know what to tell you tbh. Not sure how going on TV shows would prove anything to you otherwise? But I digress.

If she's still MIA in October around the album release, yea I'll be disappointed. At this point I'm hopeful, and I'm happy we have great music coming.
