I've become a single issue person, as I've seen climate change even around here. For the past two years, there have been droughts, our well is almost dry. Who cares about jobs if our planet is dying? Was a bit nervous that Trump would just yell misinformation loudly and unchallenged and Hillary would fall into a defensive role where she was forced to legitimise his craziness by addressing his crackpot attacks. I'm only 23 minuets in currently, Hillary is doing well but Trump is yelling very loudly and making all sorts of assertions. It is still on the economy though and Trump, being the business men he is, has an air of authority when it comes to trade and business because people feel like he knows how to make deals and what business needs to thrive. I'm feeling like Trump is winning this portion not because he is correct or educated on the issue, I think Hillary's positions are better, but because he is seen as legitimate in some way on this issue and can shout and assert whatever he wants unchallenged. I'm expecting that will change later in the debates when we get to issues such as immigration and foreign policy. Hillary has more authority there and has the ability to genuinely go in depth and lay out proposals while Trump knows absolutely nothing and will likely just trip over himself. From what people are saying here it seems like Hillary eventually wins the debate and doesn't fall into that defensive position which is great news. AlphaMonster 1,806 Posted September 27, 2016 Share Posted September 27, 2016 Hillary did nothing extraordinary, she simply let Trump f*ck himself up. 1- Trump has no substantiated data about anything. 2- Trump never tells how he will handle something but only tells what will be the outcome like me saying that I will have teleportation invented. 3- Trump debates like a little kid in the way that if you can throw him a right bait, he will lose all his train of thoughts and argue about that random unimportant detail for minutes. 4- Trump always talks about same basic points in a very uneducated manner that Hillary literally came prepared for everything he could say. 5- Trump is the champ of rural hillbillies, he can only speak at local level economically; when addressed about nationwide economical and fiscal policies, Trump simply stays at the local level he got used to speaking at.
