sia is mentioned in the interview, actually. it basically says that she is hinding behind veils 'cause those high notes are not effortless. bullshit, tbh.

sia: lemme grab a long-ass wig and cover my face real quick so that no one notices when it gets deformed when putting to much effort into my screaming.

SURLY, that's the case. :laughga:

Honestly it seems like that vocal coach doesn't know ****, I have studied vocal technique myself and it just sounds like someone that learned some vocal terminology and just threw it around.

He doesn't drag her. It's a neutral critique coming from an objective standpoint.

There are several points where they discuss the admirable qualities about Perfect Illusion.

You guys are so sensitive lol.

ANYWAY it was an interesting review and I love all the Ariana support cause her voice is 2legit

He's not wrong though? Sia live can hardly hit the vocals on the Chandelier chorus and that irks me everytime.

Judas Oyster

Very interesting read. Perhaps bc I barely know about singing. His point of view seems fair and fitting. But let's not forget she made a rock-ish song, which is not supposed to be sung like Ari.

The fact is that the review is good, but the site or whatever is that, that post it, made it feel like a bad review of PI... Gotta love the haters. Can't wait to a freaking live worldwide performance where she will show her voice once more and we will get more bad review about it, it's going to be delicious.

"a hair-metal guitar riff that gets buried under the screeching, and Gaga’s own voice"

raw

The riff is just in intro, HOW is it buried under her voice?

:awkney:

THIS. Just feels like they hadn't even listened to the song but once.... What a bullshit review, tbh.

Lol YIKES! I've met plenty of vocal coaches. Let's just say, the criteria to become a vocal coach is not high ezgif-1596395800.gif

Ironic she gets dragged for her vocals the first time they are completely authentic.

It means she's on the right track.

First of all Ariana doesnt have a good technique. She has a wide range, but as he said that she has resonance and breath support, that is not true. She is working hard and you can see changes especially whit the F5 in Break Free, however when she goes into G5s and C5s she sounds flat and out of breath. Secondly, what is Gaga doing is a style choice, she wants the vocals to sound raw and shrill so you can feel the pain and anger, we all know she is one of the best technically trained pop singers of our generation. Then again, Im an amateur, but do have a musical background.
