prince 4,688
I think she's found a space to work in and it's truly her own, she doesn't seem to want to compete or even have anything to do with major pop acts now. She's truly following her musical passion and working with people who express that passion and her ideas, I think she's over pleasing everyone and she wants to make music that she can be proud to say is her own. She doesn't need saving, I think she's over being a "pop queen" and she's done with "having a throne and slaying your favs" and I think now she wants to be seen a musician that works in the genres she wants to work in and she doesn't give a f*ck, she takes risks in her career and it's all done to her tastes, she's not doing things for sales or headlines, it's all for well being and if it sells a f*ck loads she'll be happy and if it doesn't she'll be equally as happy. FRANK1991 3,329
Eye catching title but the read is worthwhile with Gaga she's always pushing herself, always risky, so of course it's never perfect but that's how we grow creatively agree with the article but not that title lol Cause once you let it go you better know it's gone
Shipper 13,077
Gaga is going on a different direction for her album and PI is just the tip of it. She doesn't need to add a mermaid in a barn to make it interesting because the music will speak for itself. Popular or not, Gaag has always been Gaga and now she is given free reign to make music she enjoys making and not only make what she think others want from her. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶
Igor Hachul 365
I'm still trying to understand what's going on. At first I HATED Perfect Illusion, for me it was annoying in every aspect, but the videoclip changed my mind and now I love my Lady Gaga cause I saw is still herself. We know there won't be smash hits on Joanne, and it's normal to see these changes. So many artists changed their sonority at every single album and they were accepted (remember Madonna's sonority at the 80's and how it all changed at the 90's, more recently we can see how Beyoncé and Rihanna are changing too). But with Gaga it seems not to be working, but why? Is it because the promo choices are obviously horrible once again? Is it because Gaga was so huge in her videoclipes and clothes that it's hard to accept one more normal singer among us? Or we love her too much to see that we can't see that the pop glamour doesn't exist anymore and we are just trying to love something that is not there anymore? Sorry for the big text, I had to show what I'm thinking. And sorry for any English mistakes, I'm Brazilian Igor Hachul

Stef 61,598
The fact that critics and media consistently reminds us that none of Gaga's peers would - or could - attempt something so raw and ballsy really puts into perspective how unique and higher up Gaga is, even when she tones back the avant garde. Gaga is given this freedom to do whatever she wants because its clear to see that neither Gaga, her management, nor the label are interested in making her a cookie cutter pop star who's output has been manufactured to the point where nothing about it is real. Long live the Gagz, and long live my stan card! Signature loading… 👹🖤
