No, but in all seriousness, like the OP said, Gaga has transcended every possible medium and entered the communal consciousness. She is not a monolith of pop culture, she is a reference point to anything famous and iconic in pop culture right now. And the bitch is only 30 years old. No one can top her. And judging by most of her fans, she won't be topped by anyone any time soon

Gaga's peak was crazy. She was EVERYWHERE, being referenced by everyone. Her songs were played everyday on the radio; she was the most followed person on twitter; there would be at least one story everyday about what she was wearing. My parents knew all about her antics and my parents don't pay attention to pop culture at all  

And most importantly, Madonna was SHOOK  

Part of the reason why she was so big was because she got everyone out of their comfort zones. People were genuinely intrigued and captivated by her, fans and haters alike.

Bey, Taylor, Katy, and Adele might be big but they aren't necessarily "captivating." All I hear people say are "Taylor has a girl squad! Adele has such a nice voice. Katy is dating Orlando Bloom." They don't push us beyond our boundaries at all.

Outside of the English speaking countries, they can't be compared to Gaga in terms of the level of media dominance and cultural impact. Rihanna may be but it's limited to her songs only. Lmao no one cares about Beyoncé except in the US or the UK

I think that if the music you put out doesn't smash like your past works have, then it's simply not on par. That's not a bad thing outside of pop forums. An artist creates music because they love to do it and to make money, not to outdo their own achievements.

I doubt we'll see another phenomenon like Gaga in our lifetime. Or at least for the next 20 years. When pop culture needs a complete refresh someone new will come along that Gaga will call reductive. 

 

I believe that Gaga could reach her peak again but it's like she's sabotaging her career in a way. But I also respect her choices because she's staying true to herself.
