Sadly speaking ,it is freefalling off the charts and there is literally no way it will bounce back to the TOP 20 (the video had to be iconic and fresh so the song has its revival). I have been a big fan of Gaga since 2010 and I will never cease to support her. She will be my queen , no matter what. She is the person I look up to and derive my inspirations from.

She is extremely talented and it makes me sad that people are not here for her. If truth be told, the general public has had enough of Lady Gaga, that's why the song is underperforming. Also the fan base has shrunk considerably over the past few years . The song is good, I really like the direction she is going for but I don't think casual listeners care about her comeback.  They simple wrote her off. Of course everybody knows who she is,. She is still regarded as  one of the most recongnizable popstars out there.

The sad part is the media are gonna comment on her massive underperformance and people will jump on the flop bandwagon. And the backlash might be biggger than during the ARTPOP era. If the upcoming album gets raving reviews  and is critically acclaimed then she might still see some light.

And let's be real- Gaga and her company do care about the charts and they always have. Therefore after G.U.Y. era had flopped, she embarked herself on the jazz scene so she could evolve and rebuild her tainted image. Why do you think she said she always wanted to be an actress but music worked out first??? She is afraid of falling into oblivion. She is looking for more vistas. She does not have this hit single drive anymore. Why does she dismiss the infamous meat dress and her crazy/provocative style now? I know people change but it seems as though she wants others to forget about the bizarre Gaga. She has been trying to alter and evolve for a really long time and it takes time for the public to notice the change. She came back from a very tarnished era that ARTPOP was, we should not have expected Gaga  to smash instantly. Bear one fact in mind, as long as Gaga brings profit to the record company, she will be their priority and main target but once they see no success potential in her ,she won't receive that much promo. That would mean fewer singles, fewer music videos and smaller venues. And we as fans would hate to see it happen. Compare the heavy promo of BTW era to the one of ARTPOP era ,let alone to the JOANNE era. This era might not be as bankrolled as her previous ones and it is noticable. The Born This Way era had the best promotion possible, she was ubiquitous and impossible not to notice.

We will see how it will play out in the end ,but we as a fan base should stand by her and be proud of how gifted and accomplished she is :) I love Perfect Illusion and can't wait for the video and the album release :)

The worst thing about all is that Interescope chose the lead single. And if the recording company, that is the most interested entity to choose a succesfull and commercial single, chose this... I don't wanna think how the other singles will sound.

I genuinely couldn't give a sh!t and here's why:

Do you know what other song only reached 24 on the UK charts and didn't even chart in the USA? 'Heroes' by David Bowie.

Want to know which song peaked at 84 on the charts? 'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen.

Know which song peaked at 41 on the Billboard Hot 100? 'Tiny Dancer' by Elton John.

Do you know where Bruce Springsteen's 'Born To Run' charted in the USA? 23. Know where it charted everywhere else? It didn't.

Guess which Nina Simone song peaked at 40 in the UK? 'Feeling Good'.

...

I'm not saying 'Perfect Illusion' is the same standard as these songs, I'm just trying to put into perspective that charts mean sh!t when it comes to creating the legacy of an icon. Gaga may not be charting well anymore but she will always be THE Lady Gaga. Everybody knows her name, she is ingrained into the zeitgeist and she will continue to make music throughout her very long career. And who knows - some of her 'flops' might be considered classics like the songs above in a few decades time. But she will only create classics when she's actually making the music she wants to make and isn't pandering to the latest trends. She is not part of the Justin Bieber/Chainsmokers world anymore. She's on her way to becoming something much bigger and more important and if that means sacrificing chart success, then I'll just reiterate that I couldn't give a flying f*ck.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

This......some legednds that we know today didnt have that many #1 songs.....and they are still legends......you know why....because they all made great music......#1 does not say thaz you will be remembered......i mean look at curent #1 that son g is defenition of a bad song and that band will never be rememberd after 10 years.....because there is nothing special about them and hasley was just kucky(if you can call it luck) to be on a shity song that GP is eating up

I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"

If PI is REALLY doing that bad then I predict a new single will come out shortly before Joanne's release to amp it back up. I find it so sad PI is not received better by the GP.
