PI is repetitive? Think again

This topic is relevant to this forum because some of the people complaining about PI repetitiveness (ex Rihanna fans), listen to songs that are even more repetitive than PI.

Oh god sorry But PI is a really good song, and at least the energy of that last minute is great. My only criticism about the track is that.

but those songs that they listen to are supposedly "basic" , the artists "did not grow" etc, and PI is so much more, above basic dance etc..... not really a valid comparison.

We are not talking about the how basic or not a song is though. This is strictly about their repetitiveness.

Dude, it doesn't really matter if X song is more repetitive than Y song, Perfect Illusion is a repetitive song, and that's a fact.

I feel the same way. My only gripe with PI is that too, the last minute. There's like 30 seconds straight of her just repeating "It was a perfect illusion, mistaken for love." It builds to something and then nothing happens. Luckily the iconic key change happens but then it's still just the the same lyrics. Also, because the song is so short it feels like it should of just been new lyrics, not the same phrase.

I really like PI, but I'm not going to sugarcoat it and say cause other songs are repetitive, it means PI is okay. That's not how this works. I also don't think these songs are as repetitive IMO. Or at least I don't notice it as much when listening to them.

Once again, to point out to those that complain about PI repetitiveness, that some of their songs they listen to could be seen just as bad because they are just as repetitive.

Exactly! For it's length it is a very repetitive song, I don't understand why other fans can't accept that fact. I mean, in no way we are saying that it's a bad song because of that, it is great and the repetition makes it really catchy imo, but the criticism is right in this case.

Nope, they are definitely not as repetitive. I do love PI a lot more than every one of the examples listened here but they are structured in a better way to make them not feel too repetitive.
