Twitter was precisely made for that: to share you OWN opinions and the things that happened in your OWN life. He doesn't owe you anything, and if he's excited because something amazing happened in his life today he's well in his right to tweet about it cause he's excited. It's not his fault you didn't get to see the cover. And even if he was lying he still has the right to say whatever he wants. I really don't get what's so wrong about his tweet.
