No Self-Titled

I think it's not a good time for Gaga to do a self-titled album. She will come across as reductive yet again especially to the hive. If she has to do something introspective, I think she can use something like "This is Me" or "Here I Am". It's still cliche, but it's a lot less cliche than self-titled, I think. Thoughts?

literally who cares what the hive thinks. beyonce doesnt do anything but steal writing credits and tour production credits. beyonce is overrated junk and her fans are nasty haters to anyone who isnt beyonce. i used to think that Exhale and britney stans were bad but beyonce is just the worst.

she's overrated. Jay Z looks like a camel and ha little nasty daughter is overrated too.

I still like the idea of "Joanne"

I could see a self titled album 'cause she said ARTPOP was "the end of the beginning of her career" meaning LG5 would be getting to the meat of her career...what better way to start off than by putting your name on it? I don't really care about what comparisons will be drawn. I'm a Gaga fan, a Monster, if she's compared to Beyonce for having an album that's her name, then poor dat to whoever makes that leap

I think This Is Me and Here I Am sound more cliché than a self-titled album.

I like the idea of Joanne because it's still technically a self-titled album even though its not her first name. I think it's a different approach to the self-titled concept.

in response to this thread though. i am also not here for any album to be self titled or named after her aunt. i think its too personal that no one (GP) can connect to it. plus i wouldnt want to see the internet ridicule an album named after her aunt. thats just awful

i dont think the last statements were necessary but okay 

on topic, it's not just the hive. The media has been sucking up to beyonce recently. And between gaga and beyonce, we know who the media loves so much more

beyonce is not on the good side of the GP after the super bowl. her black panthers thing got on lots of peoples nerves and if you go to like fb comment sections you can see the Stephanies and Barbaras of the world are not a fan of beyonce this year.

 

also the fact that LEMONADE didnt win the emmy was extremely satisfying

Fair point, but there are those who instead take that to mean she is boundary pushing.

Anyway, I don't want to turn this thread into a beyonce thread too much (that's why i dont want an ST album to begin with). I like beyonce a lot but i'm not always a fan of her industry moves. i'm just gonna leave it at that
