Quark 7,089
o<(0_0)>o I have seen many here question why Gaga is promoting PI so much on the radio. And the answer to this question is that the radio is still the best tool to make songs successful. TV performances definitely give promo to a song, but that kind of promotion is limited. People will only care about the song for a short period of time after a performance happens. On the other hand, the radio is much more constant as they keep playing the songs over and over for possibly a long period of time. This allows the songs to grow on people. Also the radio is still the best place where people listen to a song for the first time. This is because many people still use the radio on a daily basis every time they drive somewhere or at their work places. The radio is also used a lot in big public places like stores. To put it simply, the internet and TV performances are definitely good promo tools but they are limited compared to the kind of promo that the radio provides. You simply need radio support for a song to be successful.

kvnrp 48,353
Thank you This song is no Judas, where she can pull an insane chereo when she's on Fallon or something in order to have some impact. And PI definetly needs to be played mor than once to be "understood" for lack of a better word and what better way to do that than to play/request it on Radio ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 3 minutes ago, LePetitMonstr said: Nobody really listens to radio though How do you listen to music in the car for example Not everyone has an unlimited data plan for endless streaming Listening to the same playlist gets pretty boring
JustAnotherDay 8,402
I feel like your right, but for some reason her radio promo has had no effect, she got a couple of white updates and now she's back to red, I feel like she needs to continue radio interviews and also do a major tv performance, like America's Got Talent, hopefully her sales pick up as it rises on radio was NickARTPOP

Whispering 18,865
19 minutes ago, LePetitMonstr said: Nobody really listens to radio though A survey from Nielsen estimated that about 65.2 million people in the U.S. aged 18 to 34 years listen to traditional broadcast radio each week, usually as they're commuting home from work. That's roughly half of all people in that age group. On average, they spend 11.5 hours a week with radio. In total, radio continues to have an incredibly high penetration, reaching nine out of 10 people aged 12 years and up in the U.S. each week, according to Nielsen. That's roughly 242 million people.
