Phlop 4,773
But I didnt say Summeboy or Money Honey. I mean the sigles from The Fame and TFM. And obviously her live performances for Alejandro and Telephone are not as good as theY used to be during the MBT. And the scene is too.....empty...even the castle being there...no speech, no intro...I dont know..hope this is about the first show... Even Madonna doesn't always sing "Like A Virgin/Like A Prayer/Into The Groove" at all her shows. Its just how it goes. And I'm just grateful she performed the whole album. I dont think she'll be able to play all her songs off her next album. And maybe they'll come back in the future. Sometimes artists do that, like Britney performing Lace And Leather (when it wasn't a single nor a fan favorite). Or sometimes artists don't even tour for an album (Madonna didn't have a tour for Bedtime Stories, and it has the least represented songs in her tours, same goes for Britney's Blackout). jhonyguy04 3
i spoiled myself, and saw some of the oufits to see if they sucked, and omg i love it. the bad romance, americano, that one with the guitar on it. iam still very excited!!! and i dont need those interludes and story line. to me that was annoying. iam loving what iam seeing so far. and i love that the costumes she is wearing are actually making her look good, then those horrendous outfits in the monster ball. thats just my opinion. Cal 0
I stage looks nice, but I'm underwhelmed. I don't like any of the outfits and everything just seems really dull. What made the monster ball iconic was the interludes - they defined the show. The art and creativity that went into them was unmatched by anything else Gaga has ever done. Nothing in this show seems to hold a candle to the monster ball. The Born This Way ball seems unfinished. She's had a year to put this show together. The outfits are dull, and she doesn't take command of the stage. It just seems like with every passing thing she does without Dada, it is apparent that he is the reason for many of her iconic things such as the disco stick + the angler fish. Nothing about this show is iconic. There's no angler fish, no interludes, no real sense of creativity. The stage is nice and all, but any artist could have done that. Maybe it'll grow on me, but I'm really disappointed. Some serious changes are going to need to be made to this show. When TMB2.0 had its debut in Manchester, even with it's issues, it was amazing. And what happened to the songs that she spoke of that would be performed during the tour? When BTW was released she said that she left songs off of the album to perform live at the show. Another thing this show lacks is a story. The story within the monsterball made it so cool, but with this it's just her singing songs. I don't know. Other than the Judas video and BTW album, I've felt really underwhelmed with everything Gaga has done over the last year. It just doesn't have that eccentric quirkiness that it used to. It does have a story. It was posted earlier on in the thread. And, IMO, a more interesting one.

I agree that the show seems unfinished, but I don't think Dada was responsible for all those things, Gaga didn't rush the tour, she started working on it too late. She should have started getting it ready since November or so... I don't know, it will get better for sure, the stage itself is amazing and innovative, but they all need to improve the stage presence.
eighthpassenger 0
The thing about aliens or whatever after HU sounded cool as **** though. That's more along the lines of what I was hoping for, some theatrics.

JohnnyVersace 8,963
Things I LOVE: - the castle - the costumes - the motorcycle - Alejandro - the theme Things that need work: - the lighting (esp. during Bad Romance and Judas) - overall production value; the stage sometimes feels empty - NEED interludes/screens - more dialogue like TMB The set is so incredible, and needs to be utilized more. I think what's irking me is that TMB had some INCREDIBLE scenes (SHICD, Paparazzi, DITD), and the BTWB isn't taking advantage the big set as much as it could. The lighting seems lack-luster in some places. And a lot of the time there is a lack of props or variety in the set. Some of it is flawless, some of it needs work. Bad_kid 43
curious how people are desiding whether they like it or not based on mostly crappy videos and dizzy photographs :laughga:
Married the Night 3,955
People need to realize that the show doesn't need a story. Most concerts don't. Don't judge it yet.
GIFs 0
I must say, her outfit for Bad Romance is one of my new favorites. I hate that we can't see the others very clearly, because that one is so perfectly TFM and I love it.

Optimus 298
*She can't drag those songs until the end of her career, if people want to listen to those songs again then they should buy the Monster Ball in dvd But the the feeling is different when you hear the beat at the stadium..This is amazing feeling. These songs made her famous. She must remember that!
Arturo 40,746
Ugh, all the people complaining are still going to the show and when they actually experience it in real life they'll be crying their eyes out at how amazing it was :nails:
