HolyDelRey 21,101
Let's not pretend that Gaga doesn't want to be huge in the MUSIC GAME like she used to be, i mean who doesn't? We all know, that she started working on this record with RedOne, back in 2014.. But she probably couldn't re-create the magic, and started to work with Mark Ronson. Mark Ronson released one of the biggest hits ever which is "Uptown Funk". The Music Video still remains as the most watched one on VEVO, the song had a huge success worldwide, got a grammy, sold 8m copies in the United States only. So my question is, did Gaga chose Mark Ronson because of his commercial success? Be honest! The only prisons that exist are ones we put each other in.. ryhanna 3,507
Could be a factor but Mark has a solid career of quality material regardless.

Dangerous Man 9,245
Not when Uptown Special flopped hard. He only had a smash hit bc of Bruno so... "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
Blackout19 11,980
I dont know. But I wish the lead single was the song that was made with RedOne. i'm a powerpuff girl. ○●
ReidOne 12,427
Of course she did!!! But I also think she chose him because he is the most credible person to do the job. She wants a massive pop album again, of course. And he is the hottest thing in pop right now. But they also have LOADS of stuff in common.... particularly their affinity for classic funk and groovy rock music. It's a match made in heaven. Commercial success + musical similarities + credibility.... We all win with this!
Super Natural 1,481
She always wanted to work with him
Arturo 40,746
Clearly. She also got Bloodpop who produced the 3rd biggest hit of 2015, Sorry. Edit: woops. It seems to have sold 7m
Blackwillow 2,200
Ofc she did. So what? She is an artist ,doesn't want to do same shiz. At least she tried with RedOne first but her gut told her to do with Mark then I'm sure magic happened= PI however, I still believe RedOne track that one was almost a lead will be second single. Tanner Porter 47
I think it was a factor, but not major. Happily his name is big in industry and having PI attached to it will be of some help
gagzus 15,929
It's obviously this was the case why else would she work with him and Bloodpop who both have helped produce massive comeback hits (Uptown Funk & Sorry). i just hope the music is good

Frankenztein 1,172
No. She's been saying she wanted to work with him since 2008(or 09 not certain on exact date?). This is a genuine collab that's been along time coming.
TimisaMonster 31,073
I think Gaga wanted to pick the best song and what her and Mark made was it. I'm sure RedOne will be on LG5 and perhaps have a single but Gaga wants to do something new and fresh and if what radio stations and iHeart had been saying is sent indicator, we're not gonna be disappointed and we're in for perhaps her best song to date Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
