Her announcing it at any time this week doesn't change anything in the grand scheme. We will still be waiting until Friday, when Gaga's new single "Perfect Illusion" will drop. It's also comical imagining her tweeting at 11:50 pm on Thursday, "Check out my new single Perfect Illusion in 10 minutes! Surprise!" Basically, I'm waiting for Friday only at this point. Actually, I don't see it being the biggest meltdown ever. The fact that so many people are reassessing the situation and thinking to themselves, that it may not come, means that there is a level of awareness. The biggest meltdown would be definitely expecting it Friday, with a pseudo-announcement, and then hour by hour it never comes. Kind of like the Oscars, everyone expected got got a win, and then she lost. It's the unexpected meltdowns that are the biggest. We somewhat smell the fear with this release.
