I feel like there are so many great pop performers who frequently or once and awhile lip sync. There are alotta performances where no one can tell if theirs lip syncing, and others you can. Here we can post all of these bc its interesting. If you want you can post some lip synced performances, to contribute.

I'll start.

Cheryl - I Don't Care

I discovered Cheryl in 2014 and had no idea she lip synced all the time, and i thought this was live. Then i realized she was lipping 2 days ago

There were parts of this Beyonce pre-recorded vocals. Some people said up until Formation she was lipping. I definitely think it was involved in some parts of the performance.

Born To Slay

Britney lip syncs but she's still the princess of pop and she slays. I saw her live in person twice in April and she was amazing.

I'm ok with lip synching if they at least make the effort to pre record vocals  and not autotune it and add effects

PartySick

Michael was the king of lipsyncing in the late 90's :emma:

When he performed Elizabeth, I Love You for Liz Taylor (inb4 AHS jokes), he started singing live, then the song picked up and went to a studio vocal, then the last note was live I believe, but it all flowed so seamlessly that you can barely tell. It's so weird :poot:

Most of his HIStory tour was lipsynced too, but he was constantly sick with everything from laryngitis to the flu (though the sick voice worked for Scream during the first show in Dubai) and they wouldn't let him postpone the tour 'cause he had to cover the cost of a two disc album. Four years later, he showed he still had the chops though when he slayed the 30th Anniversary concerts, only lipsyncing Billie Jean and Beat It :queenga:

This annoys me too. I don't mind that Michael lipsynced, but performing in 1997 with audio from 1979? :madge: same goes for Britney. I'd love if she would rerecord her hits to perform them instead of using vocals from the early 2000's.

🌸Flourishing and vibrant🌼

This iconic performance:

I like that she didn't even try and pretend that she was singing live by using a microphone. It was all about the performance.

If she sang live it would have completely ruined it. The point of this amazing g performance was to make a music video happen live, and she did that beautifully. It's one of my all time faves the show has ever and will ever give us.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

I think that Pray You Catch Me, Hold Up, Sorry, and Formation were all live, but don't hurt yourself had some help.

River

Many times they are obliged to lipsync.. $$$ and time are the reasons..

Sometimes it's just about the performance and less about the song.. the song is just like a background music..

Britney's case is different, I have the feeling that she's really limited with her actions so she can't do 2 things at the same time.. so the lipsyncing is part of the dance.. and probably her voice control is really minimal..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
