Guest vivre sa vie
So, I have heard many times about Gaga's 2013 VMA performance and the restrictions that MTV had over this performance. What where these restrictions? Do we know anything about this "drama"? I did my research, I found nothing!
Nicogly 2,579
I don't have a link, but the original performance was set to be a very darkga kinda thing. She floated in the air with torture back drops and really scary ****. A lot of blood, and a lot of conceptual art. But it was scrapped by MTV because they eanted Miley to have the soptlight or something like that Rock On and A Last One For the Road 🚬

So why they didn't want such a spectacle?! The whole restrictions drama is true or only rumours spread by fans?

The original performance idea has been spread by the company that was helping her do it (someone posted it here on the thread). Also 2009 was a time were Gaga was wanted as the spotlight, as opposed to 2013. Rock On and A Last One For the Road 🚬

Gaga said it herself in an interview that wasn't broadcasted - but someone there recorded it on their phone, I remember watching it. She also wanted to walk the red carpet with a bunch of look alikes dressed in her iconic outfits.

That would've been so epic Long Live Gretchen
Swan Heart 7,382
Go here. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
VforVendetta 2,024
They actually made her scrap the whole original performances, only some pecies of the set remained... You can say that it was a type of heavy censorship, which is unacceptable...
Swan Heart 7,382
The fact that they refused this collabration between Gaga and freaking Robert Wilson and let things like "Miley, what's good" be the highlight of their show speak volumes. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

OMG! It was supposed to be a Gaga/R Wilson collab for the VMAs? Robert Wilson is an amazing and highly respected artist, that has nothing to do w/ mainstream art. Get ready for the "You just say that because you are a pressed hypster that doesn't get the level of quality of today's Pop scene" comments.
Yoro 566
Damn her ideas are so cool, only if the vmas didnt made her scrap it I cant imagine applause with such a dark idea though.
Himeros26 1,688
Does anyone know what the hands were used for? The sculpture of the hands that surrounded Gaga as Aphrodite in the Applause video. I always wondered what they were for, when the company that made the set showed the pics.
