Still doesn't make it right. If the judge is corrupt then there is no real justice.

And the plot thickens. It makes me sick that the judge said that there was no evidence of Luke being misogynist or committing rape because he hated women. That doesn't mean he didn't do it! People do unexpected stuff all the time. Ever heard of a wolf in sheep's clothing?! And rape is always gender motivated - maybe not a hate crime necessarily (although a sense of wanting to punish the victim is certainly present, which obviously involves a level of hate) but gender does come into it. Rapists get off on vulnerability and a lot of women are vulnerable, so they go after women who fulfill the vulnerable or docile stereotype. If you don't think rape is gender motivated, you're either a man or just f***ing stupid. To think it actually was a woman who threw it out makes it even worse. And even if it wasn't 'gender motivated,' what...that makes it ok, then? When I see someone trivialising and invalidating something so devastating that had hurt a lot of people, it makes me so mad, I can't even.
