I wonder how much that'll spike when PI is released? đžFlourishing and vibrantđŒ
FlopSlurper 34,336
The same goes with katy's roar and dark horse. There were soooo many controversial and interesting music videos/songs that were more talked about than katy's such as wrecking ball and anaconda. Yet katy managed to get +1B views on BOTH music videos even though they weren't that talked about as much as the others. It's a free way to listen to the music. Youtube should detect if the window is in the forefront and count that as a view, and if the window is in the background they should just count it as a listen.

I feel like it's been annoying me since the beginning of time It does feel that way doesn't it?? lol I just checked and they began testing it in Dec 2014, so it prob rolled out to all accounts sometime in early 2015? So a little over a year. https://techcrunch.com/2014/12/11/youtube-is-testing-an-autoplay-feature-that-streams-suggested-videos-automatically/
Chris Evans 8,917
it really is unfair they've only grown since streaming started counting on the Billboard 100 Gaga/Beyonce's numbers seem about right but Bieber's/Rihanna's/Katy's/Taylor's recent numbers don't seem right to me they just keep growing by the day

Taylor's videos aren't really that special IMO... Shake it Off 1 BILLION VIEWS??? Blank Space MAYBE since it is a fan favorite. I feel like Katy Perry's views got boosted by her SuperBowl performance. Rihanna's work was #1 for 10 weeks, and her other music video views actually should have MORE (especially these days when videos get a lot more views than they should)  That being said.. This is what you Came For 500M views already.. AND HOW THE HELL DOES WORK FROM HOME HAVE 800 MILLION VIEWS
Yuuri 21,636
I find it funny how some videos have over 1B, but have little impact on culture.
Azor Ahai 18,861
Y'all seem to forget Enrique Inglesias has billions of views and doesn't chart high in the US. Billboard charts dont mean ****.

BUT Justin Bieber's main audience is the US and even worldwide the song isn't as popular as before but STILL getting equal views. It's not really the amount but how the views have been distrubuted.  Or maybe Enrique buys views too
