MaryJaneHolland 77,348
how can some fans be that much delusional to think gaga is going with alternative, psychedelic or idk whichever genre... she's a damn pop singer
Tokyo Rose 1,475
I think she knows what she's doing, she's not new to this. If the song was nothing special, she would have been more casual about it I think

(Besides her working with Red One and that was scrapped). Take a look at her transformation post-ARTPOP, take a look at the producers of this new single, listen to their type of style, take a look at what Mark Ronson said about this upcoming record... It doesn't take rocket science to understand that this time around... it is going to be different. (Which is not necessarily a bad thing)

REALITY 75,622
I think the album's going to be more rock/psychedelic—maybe disco/funk—but I think the lead, Perfect Illusion, is going to lean more pop. It's been confirmed that it's a "dance anthem" type of song, which doesn't necessarily mean pop. However, for a lead single, I think it's the best strategically to pick one of the more "pop-type" songs off of the album. I do however, think that she's not going strictly back to pop. She's definitely heading in a new direction, which has been made pretty obvious by now. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

I guess the single would sort of fit to Top 40 more than the rest of the tracks on the album, perhaps? But I think it'll still be significantly different than her previous work.
