Yes I did like it, but was not completely slayed (like with other lead singles JD, BR, BTW) It definitely was a grower, nowadays I think it's one of the best songs on ARTPOP. :music:

Yes, I loved it SO MUCH.

I remember that I SCREAMED the first time and my dad came into my room all worried and said "what? what? what happened?", and in the end we both DANCED to Applause :laughga:

I don't like it that much now, so it made the opposite effect to me.

I liked it, but didn't love it. I thought Aura was much better. I still feel the same.

This is a tough one; I think I originally was impressed just because it was a new Gaga song after being built up by so much hype, but not necessarily as a song in the non-biased sense, because let's be honest, it's pretty basic as far as Gaga's lead singles go

However, now when it comes up on shuffle, I instantly feel invigorated <3

Yes! But I really couldn't understand most of what she was singing in the chorus until I read the lyrics :laughga: #FlopFan

I liked it more upon release than I do now. I still love it, but I remember listening to it non-stop (so I think I sorta beat it into the ground). I also remember loving the GMA performance but now it's sorta cringey to watch

Been a long time but I'm back in town, and this time I'm not leaving without you

I didn't think it was a good Gaga song. It sounded too generic and bland. It did grow on me especially when the video came out but I thought it was very lacklustre. I hope this new track Perfect Illusion is one that blows me away on the first listen like Bad Romance did.

As much as I love the song, I think I loved it much more on release due to just wanted new Gaga music. I loved Aura much more upon first listen than Applause tbh

At first I thought it was pretty generic and I was like "that's it? all the wait for this?"

After a while it grew on me, and it still sounds fresh after 3 years!

Didn't hate it but wasn't drawn to it either. It grew on me, I enjoy the verses but it bores me at the chorus/bridge/end. Its just alright. Theres not a whole lot to say about it which is ultimately its problem.

Underwhelmed but soon became my favorite song defining my life etc and I listen to it every day. I just listened to it

I was so up and down about the song. I initially LOVED IT as soon as that chorus popped I was like YAAAAASSSS

and then I felt after a few days it sounded quite generic...

and then once she started singing it live I loved it again

And now when I listen to it I don't think it's generic at all, the production quality on it is incredible!
